R. Chetwynd-Hayes, author of THE MONSTER CLUB (was made into a Vincent Price
movie, IIRC) and many other novels and short stories, wrote a series of
stories and books about hybrids between vampires, werewolves, and other
supernatural creatures. He had names for each crossbreed. The child of a
werewolf and a vampire is a werevamp.

But I guess this question is drifting off topic, except to mention that it
couldn't happen in the FK universe -- unless the "cure" in "Baby, Baby" (is
that the name of the ep?) has a factual basis.

Hi Everyone:

Thanks for the reminder concerning St. Nicholas'
day. Even though I'm working late tonight, I'm
going to celebrate the holiday by listening to
the "Legends of St. Nicholas" CD by Anonymous 4.

Great stuff! :)

Thanks

David

There is a half-vampire half-werewolf in the World of Darkness gaming
system. I don't recall what term they used but I remember not liking
it. I can't remember their explanation for its existence either, but
it wasn't very likely. This isn't a WoD crossover, anyway. Thanks
anyway. I'll just make something up.

No wonder I couldn't find anything after doing an internet search for
two hours on the subject, though I did come across some interesting
vampire folklore sites.

And just to round out the trivia <G>, many of the Orthodox Christians
STILL celebrate their Name Day. Today, Fr. Nick (the retired priest
of the church where I work) celebrated a Liturgy for his Name Day,
and then came to the office and explained that it is the custom for
the person celebrating to take everyone to dinner. There was also a
party for him yesterday in the Greek School.
Most of the children are more than aware of their Name Day, as they
get gifts just like on their birthday.

Having been raised a Protestant, I think I missed something...

They *are* an excellent quartet. I have their "Love's Illusion" CD, which
is troubadour and trouvere music, some of it dating back to Nick's *mortal*
days... :)

For now, though, I'm running through my usual cycle of about 50 or so
Christmas/Chanukah/Winter Holiday CDs... currently listening to some
Medieval stuff from the Boston Camerata...

H'mm, and the pawnbroker angle may explain the attraction to pretty, shiny

For those of you who have bookmarks to my pages, please make the following
changes:

Main FK page: http://home.attbi.com/~nat1228/fk.htm
Links page: http://home.attbi.com/~nat1228/links.htm
Fiction: http://home.attbi.com/~nat1228/fkfanfic.htm

or -- find all my links at:

For all of my friends who have links to my pages on your own webpages,
please make the above changes. Sorry for the inconvenience. It's been a
real pain in the patootie.

Last, but not least, I've spent *DAYS* updating all the HTML to reflect the
new links. I may have missed something. If you notice something that
doesn't work properly, please let me know. My main FK page has been
updated. The list maintenance helpful hints (a backup, of sorts, for Don's
excellent site) is back up and running, and other links have been modified.
I was surprised just how outdated my page had become. I'm not terribly
active in FK fandom anymore, so I apologize that I didn't get it updated
sooner.

The term WoD used was "abomination", I believe. Just FYI ...

That is true. I was thinking more along the lines of older vampires.
Thanks for clearing the confusion I had on how Nick was made into a
vampire. I've been told it happened that way AND it happened because he
was fatally wounded when LC found him on the battleground. <Nichole now

Try going to http://www.tvguide.com/ and looking under listings. That is
where I found when and where Tracker aired in my area.

I thought a dhampir is a half-vampire, half-gypsy child. I got the info
from 'The Encyclopedia of the Undead' and based on that I created
Nichole. (and also placed the definition in my story 'Daddy's Little
Girl') Was I wrong?
