Howdy everyone!

Well, first of all I apologise in advance if anyone already pointed this out
(and I seem to recall that there's someone out there who posts a list of FK
alumni appearing in the coming week's movies), but here goes...

Last night (Monday) between baby feedings, I was engaging in some mindless
distractions (oh, right, watching television that is) when I noticed that
the SciFi channel wasn't running the Outer Limits as it usually does between
9-10pm. Instead, they were running some weird movie called (I think?) "Deep
Red" about some weird alien protein that grants immortality to its user(s)
(woohoo!) that for some reason gave me the same creepy feeling that I had
while watching "Existenz" (same producer, maybe?? I "dunno").

Anyway, the "bad guy" is none other than Star Trek's John "Q" DeLancie,
which didn't necessarily catch my attention. What did catch my attention
however was John Kapelos (I think - it sure as heck looked like him) playing
a bad-tempered detective with a chip on his shoulder (Why?  I don't know;
Andy woke up and started wailing again) against the good guy played by
Michael Biehn.

Anyway, I just wanted to point that out....

Also...I'd like to thank everyone who has been writing congratulation
letters to me and Lynn. As anyone who has ever raised a newborn can attest,
we have been swamped. Nevertheless, I have been meaning to reply personally
to everyone who has written to me.

Conceivably I ought to be doing that between feedings, but generally between
feedings I want a MINDLESS distraction, and writing e-mail alas is _not_
mindless - quite the contrary. On this particular occasion however, I have
been able and "in the mood" for something a little bit more intellectually
challenging (writing about a John Kapelos sighting?!?!?!?!?), so if I can
somehow manage not to slip into auto-pilot before Andy's next feeding, I
might actually start getting around to it. :-)

W.
