Subject: War:  Kyer was seriously bushwacked and needs help!

Last Saturday (and completely without warning!) my computer died of a
stroke.  Rampant bad sectors wouldn't even let me run a backup disc let
alone diagnostic.  Like LaCroix on a roll not letting his caller get a word
in edgewise.

Worse, this happened while I was putting the finishing touches on my War
file with names addys of factions and players of each, necessary war addies
for various key players and so on.
Result:  Kyer has nada and the war is starting in a matter if mere days.

This is worse than anything that could have happened during the War itself!
<sob!>

Can someone please send me the pertinent data?  I'm too busy learning what
button to push on this new computer and Win ME operating system (what *is*
this?  where's the manual override?) to wade through gobs of mail backed up
in my mailbox!

Help!  Help!  Help! (gasp!)  HELP!

(God, I hope this call for assistance isn't attacked by a MIME.  That's all
I need! <sigh>)

Anyone know where I can find a list of all the vamps who've been on FK?
I found one, but it ended with Bourbon. But I know a fuller list is out
there, because I've seen it. I just can't find it.

Those are the right two stories. I should know as I beta'd both of them, as
well as convinced the author that the Phoenix was good enough to post (which
wasn't an easy task).

I wrote a story that stands on its own but can also fit in between those two
stories called Knee Deep in Trouble. It references Nancy's two stories in it.
I have no idea if it is archived anywhere. It will eventually be archived on
my site (www.1avenue.com/fkfanfic (that's a one not a little L)).

Earlier there was a discussion that indicated War 11 might
*not* be played on Penn State's fkfic.  I think yahoogroups's
fkfic was mentioned as the alternative.  Has there been an
official decision yet about just which list will be used?

Subject: Sci-Fi Ad for Friday's Outer Limits

I just saw an ad for today's (Friday) Outer Limits episode, and it looks
like a keeper - it even has William B. Davis aka "Cancer Man" / "Cigarette
Smoking Man" / C.G.B. Spender from the X Files.

The real bonus was that the ad listed the stars as "Forever Knight's Geraint
Wyn Davies and The X Files' William B. Davis".  Cool.  This looks like a
great opportunity to redouble efforts to get SciFi to bring back the show,
at least bring back the re-runs.  Just my two cents worth.  :-)

The war *will* be played as usual on the PennState
list.  However, we have set up a yahoogroup list that
will archive the war messages once they start, and it
is available to everyone.  You do *not* need to join
the yahoogroups list.

War archives (posts which appear on fkfic-l as war
posts) will be available at:

Subject: Public Service Announcement

When you break off the little tabs on your VCR tapes, make sure they break
off *completely*. Even a little bit hanging on in the wrong place can cause
you to lose several hours of precious FK episodes you thought were
completely safe from being taped over when somebody bumps the VCR's record
button. The chance of this happening is substantially increased if the tape
in the VCR is the only one in your entire collection with this small flaw.
