Hey, but spies aren't one of my fears!
I think you have to go into War aware and accepting that anything you've
said on lists or to your pals may come back to haunt you!
Really, that's the best part!
Like in your case, Kyer, I've got a stockpile of tasty tofu pudding! :D
That said, my big horrors are pigeons, Birkenstocks and cooked eggs.
The birds have tormented me in a war already, perpetrated by a factionmate, no
less!

ROTFL! I like Nicky Nightdress, especially as he wouldn't be around during

I remember one War-universe post where Bonnie was reduced to wearing
Birkenstocks for a while, for some infraction...
Being the Arctophile I am, this reminds me that the Vermont Teddy Bear

<http://store.yahoo.com/vtbear/bearkenstocks.html> and workboots
<http://store.yahoo.com/vtbear/boots.html> -- neither of which will fit the
Vampbear, as he is considerably larger than the standard VTBCo bear.

Subject: something weird - bounced postings on FORKNI-L and FKFIC-L
Has anyone else run into this? A couple of days ago I got a message from
the listserver saying that a post of mine to this list had bounced because
it was identical to a previous post. And indeed it was exactly the same
message I had posted a couple of weeks before; only I had not in fact resent
it.
Tonight however I got SEVEN "bounce" messages from the listserver, rejecting
7 of the 8 parts of the story I posted a couple of weeks ago , for the same
reason. But again, I had not in fact reposted them; and they had shown up
fine two weeks ago.
Is anyone else running into this problem? The message I'm getting from the
listserver looks like this:
> Your message is being returned to you unprocessed because it appears to have
> already been distributed to the FKFIC-L list. That is, a message with identical

Me too! I got my entire City of Chaos story sent back, to my e-mail addy at
usa.net, as well as over 20 Forkni-L postings to the same addy. It looks like
it's going through a sent-mail folder or maybe a history folder, from my
perspective as an end-user. I e-mailed McLisa and forwarded two of the bounced
e-mails to her (but I haven't deleted the others yet if you need them, McLisa!)

I just got one too. I suspect something is very wrong with the
listserver. Considering the fact the FK lists are not even supposed
to be archived, i wonder why messages sent days and weeks ago are
bouncing now.

I've gotten the same message today (6 times over!), so it sounds like there
might have been a glitch in the system. Glad I'm not the only one who's had
the same problem. I'm computer-illiterate, so I just deleted them. <sigh>
So much for "high tech"...
Wonder if LaCroix would ever have this problem? <giggle> Oh, well... it's
back to the ol' fanfic mines, so look for a new story from me soon. :)
Peace!

It has to be something wrong at the listserv because
as of course some of you have had happen, it seems to
think some people are trying to post from
Forkni-l@l....... to Forkni-l@l........
I have no idea what went wrong, but with trouble of
this bad a level, I'm sure they're aware of it and
working on the problem.

And take a bow, all you listers, because one of the
great things about Forkni-l is how little flamebait we
get. When we do, it's nearly always either a
misunderstanding or a mistake or not meant to upset
people. That's something we should all be proud of.

Yes! It happened to me too. It freaked me to hell
because I have screwed up and been scolded by the
listmommy twice already and I hadn't done anything
wrong this time, really <LC came after me in my dream

Yes, I have been posting Of Knight & Death with Teresita's help, but lately
Prodigy has gone screwy and insists I don't exist. And then I do. And then
I don't.
To those waiting for 23b thru 32, please be patient. Teresita has to
correct a major character name snafoo I committed (what can I say? I'm
terrible at names! <slaps forehead>) and she will start posting the next 3.
After that, Prodigy and listserv willing, I will post the next.
