Oh, gang~

I am really, really embarrassed that I sent a private post to the entire
list. My doctor just readjusted my meds, and increased my morphine again,
so I'd like to blame it on that. {Dang! Right up until then, I thought
I was doing really well, too.}

I'm sorry, you guys. I've been trying to hold off on posting to the entire
list, waiting til I could kinda think straight - but, what the heck, I
guess that's blown now, huh? I promise to be more careful.

Sami

I want to thank everyone who's written thank yous, etc., on and off list
about the pins. You helped me out, too, by cleaning out my closet and
giving my non-sensible shoes more breathing room. I only wish I hadn't run out
of some pins so that everyone who requested a specific type could have gotten
what they wished.

I'm glad the pins brightened some days for the list members out there. I've gotten
a lot out of this fandom, and every once in a while, it's nice to give something
back.

Hey all!

Does anyone else notice that Nick or Ger (depending if that's his style
of acting) whenever he is interviewing a murder suspect or a witness
whatever, and the person either starts to cry or look pathetic, Nick
always takes a moment to look once at whomever he is with. Anyone else
noticed that?

Ah, gee whiz. Now I'm gonna have'ta go watch more fk tapes. <eg>

I'd say that this was Nick wondering: "What am I guilty of now? I must be
guilty of *something* by this time in the episode!'

More'n likely this was Ger portraying Nick's sense of "Oh, no, its crying.
How do I handle a crying mortal? What's the proper protocol? What would
another mortal do in this situation? Where's Nat? Maybe she can handle
this for me? Why do I get stuck in these situations? I shouldn't have to
deal with this stuff! Darn, it, somebody take over here!"

:)=
Kyer,
or are those *my* thoughts when someone starts crying?

Subject: Dragon Lair inquiry

This makes the second time I've sent e-mails to the Dragon Lair fk audio
tape people. The first time was in last August. Then again on the 28th
asking if they had got my check.

Zippo on both.

Has anybody heard from them---or better yet, ordered something and gotten
it---recently?

I realize that this is the holiday season, so the tapes (ordered on the 16th
by mail) are probably on their way or will be, but the continued silence is
a bit unnerving and after hearing all the glowing recommendations I
*really* want to hear those tapes!!!

Argh!

FORKNI-L RULES

1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST
MAY BE PERMANENT.

2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in replying.
If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote the
relevant four lines for that point also.

3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration
quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of
the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of text,
your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of the six
line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on putting an
advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. We realize you can't
control that and it doesn't count as part of your sig.

4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the
person who wrote the post you are answering.

5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the
listowners, Lisa McDavid, <mclisa@m.......> or Don Fasig,
<Argent@e.......> for permission.

6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff and
producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in the
past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation to
Forever Knight.

7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or how
urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which you
think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission.

8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally
one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other
than that, we leave the cast their privacy.

9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated
liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there
is a connection to FK.

10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may
make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff,
before said projects have been released or written about in the media.

11. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as
pseudonyms or posing as a character.

12. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l.

Subject: Internet Charity Auction announcement!

Posted with the kind permission of the listowner:

Just in time for the holidays, it's the latest Geraint Wyn Davies Fan
Club Internet Charity Auction! We rummaged through the charity
closet this time and found a veritable treasure trove of great stuff.
100% of the auction proceeds go to Children's Hospital Foundation.
Everyone is welcome to peruse the auction page and bid!

If you drop by to check out the page, be sure to enter our trivia
contest for a chance to win an adorable huge stuffed lobster! You
don't need to bid in order to enter the contest. Details are on the
auction page.

We have Nick Knight's police business card... a hand-decorated Black
Harbour denim shirt... autographed photos... a classic FORKNI-L list
T-shirt... a prop toe tag... a rare copy of the fanzine that formed
the basis of the FK novel "Intimations of Mortality" by Susan
Garrett... some great Toronto Police items... several prop photos...
some hard-to-find GWD theater programs... a Dudley the Dragon package
-- and lots more!

The auction starts today and ends Thursday night 12/7/00. If the
winners send payment promptly, they can have their auction items in
hand by Christmas! Sorry this auction is so late getting started,
but I have a good excuse -- I was busy preparing and handing in the
final copy of my doctoral dissertation!! (No, I didn't get a Ph.D.
in Internet Charity Auctions -- that's a hobby!) <g>

You can find out more about the charity and the auction by going to
this web site:

Happy bidding to all!

Subject: sound help

I am desperately searching for some sounds from the fk commercials.
Something of the type:
"This is my city. The night is my beat"
or
"Most vampires prey on the innocent. I'm only after the guilty..."
or something along those lines.

Does anyboy have those or do you know where they could be found ?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Lucie.
