Why am I least surprised by "La Croix Creations?" Though it does give
grist for nightmares, doesn't it? Brrr....

Now this is one of our oldest samples... it comes with an accessory wardrobe
that puts Barbie's to shame. Also available in Human.

And here we have our last century's model... Jack the Ripper. Just the
thing for that Halloween party.
As a special offer, at an additional $500 American, we will throw in Divia
for a special appearance.

What?
Oh, I'm sorry. I'm afraid that particular model is not for sale. Yes...
the owner, Mr. La Croix simply refuses to part with it for any money. In
fact, he rarely lets it out of his sight.

Well, that's all for now. Unless you are interested the rest of our
Maddened Killer series?
No?
Well, thank you for considering us here at La Croix's Creations. Have a
nice night.

Thanks so much for all of the info on this show! You've definitely wet my
appetite. I followed you link, to take a look. Funny how Ger looks rather
like LC in this part!

Although it's been stated that Catharine Disher played that scene as
though she had been drugged, I don't think there's any real evidence
that LC drugged her wine. I personally think LC is "old and powerful"
enough not to need to do that.

The script does heavily hint/suggest that he DID drug her. If anyone wants

Hello all!

I ran into Bruce Gray at Farpoint while manning the Prydonians of Princeton
Club table. It was cool to see him as well as Rosemary & George of the GWD
fan Club.

The con itself was fun - it isn't as large as Shore Leave but the folks who
came out had a good time. FYI - this is primarily a Star Trek con but other
fandoms are represented as well, since they get guests from SF shows in
general as well as popular stars from syndicated shows. The big guest was
J'Kar from B5 (real name Andreas Katsulas) and I know I probably butchered
the character name (sorry Andreas!) but HIS name I spelled right (I met him
before at the B5 wrap party in Los Angeles and he is really cool and VERY
funny when he gets together with Peter Jerasic, the guy who was Londo Mollari
on the show).

No, there was no FK at the con except for the fanzines, T-shirts, etc. on
sale in the dealer's room. FK was mentioned in the Angel panel - mostly in
the sense that Angel ripped off the "vampire detective" idea! At our table
we had FK stuff and found a lot of "closet" FK fans - people who saw and
loved the show and remarked on it while visiting our table!

I know it's been a while since I've popped in to report on anything but I
just bought my first house and real life has been keeping me busy (I still
READ the list even though this is my first posting in a while!) and I wish
all of you well!

You're watching the very brain damaging movie Titus and there is a character
who's a powerful, military officer (didn't give the rank) who happens to be
Roman and named Lucius. There is a daughter in the movie named Livia.

You're on the way home and spot a building that has only three letters on the
front of it - GSS and it makes you think of War. And if they did indeed have
a building or HQ there.

I think I left one out, but will let you know when I think of it.

The seal of the confessional predates Nick's mortal lifetime considerably.
In the reign of Charlemagne (early 9th century), it was a principle of
*secular* law that even if a priest did reveal a crime, the revelation could
not be acted on and was not admissable as evidence. (Sounds like one of
those frustrating "Law and Order" episodes, doesn't it?)

So, Father Rochefort's adamant refusal to break the seal of the confessional
would have been exactly what Nick would have expected of a 13th-century
priest. Nick's indignation must have been rooted in his own sense of
justice.

A couple of weeks ago, Nancy K. posted a site about an evil plan
generator. I finally got around to checking it out and found it came up
with 'script errors,' or something. I vaguely remember postings about
errors, but didn't really follow it, since I hadn't visited the site
yet. Was there found any way to fix this? Does the page work? It was
quite hilarious just filling out the form, choosing from all the crazy

This is the page addy. The address seems to work fine, but it doesn't
generate an evil plan for you! :-(

nightmare. Later, we meet Nick, Lucien and Javiar, three

Tim, that's just plain evil! Although I think that Lacroix would be Larry, with
Nick and Javier taking the Darrel and Darrel roles -- he's the one with the
golden voice, after all. <g>

And let's not forget Stonetree, the local tv producer for the show Bob does, who
goes out with Janette, the housekeeper.

Yes... and they contradicted themselves <eg>

In "Dark Knight", Janette says that she'd been in Toronto three years, and
only *now* Nick comes to visit her.

In "Human Factor" (roughly three years after DK), either Janette or Lacroix
mentions that she'd run the Raven for 20 years...

I'm going to be sorry after this weekend when the blood drive is over.
I'm getting used to my daily 2-to-3-second dose of the Nightcrawler

doing so is curiosity, and I don't need to waste their office staff's

Hi Everyone:

Greetings! After spending all weekend at the word processor,I have finished
working on (actually revising) my first story for the list. It's called
"Trouble in Toronto" and it is the first part of a new story arc that I'm
working on. (This piece takes place between Ashes to Ashes and Last Knight.
The others take place after LK.) Now, I was wondering if somebody would
be willing to help me out by alpha reading it for me. I would really
appreciate it if anyone out there could give me a hand.... (As I enjoy
reading these stories, I would be willing to return the favor if someone
needs it.) If somebody would like to look at this story or has any
questions about the piece, please email me off list.

I do enjoy reading everyone's tales and I am looking forward to contributing
my work to this list.

Ago gratias sibi. Thanks in advance for the help and consideration. As
always...they are very much appreciated.

Sincerely,

David
