I'm thinking that Michael Caine movie.

Hmmm, would a disembodied vampire hand spout fangs and be able to bring
people across? Or would it just grow another body?

If you cut Nick in half, would you eventually have two Nicks?

And why are all the Knighties lining up with chainsaws? <G>

I think I better stop before I combine LaCroix with certain fertility
symbols of some of the Conversion Day fic....

It was "Plus ça change, Nicolas, plus ça change". This basically means
'nothing changes' . It is a shortened version of the French saying "Plus ça
change, plus c'est la même chose" which translated is equivalent to "The
more things change, the more they stay the same."

>How many think that Janette brought the painting after she was brought back
across.

Yes, definately.

>What do you think LaCroix ment by I have lost a daughter and gained a son.

Since Janette had become mortal, she was no longer LaCroix's offspring,
hence he had lost his daughter. Nick then brought Janette across again as
she was dying in the firey living room, and that makes him her sire. As far
as the "gaining a son" comment, I think LaCroix meant that since Nick brough
Janette across it was an acknowledgement on Nick's part that being an
'undead' vampire was better than being a 'dead' mortal - which is opposite
of what Nick has been proclaiming to LC throughout the series.

Well that's my 2 cents anyway. YMMV
