Oh I remember the days when the show was still on here in the Triangle area
of NC. What a terrible time I had finding it! It would be on for a while
on one channel, at some horribly ridiculous hour (2am or whatever). And
the next time I went to watch it, it would be gone. I'd scour the TV Guide
to find it, and it might be a month or more before I would find it again --
another channel, another impossible hour, and then gone again! Oooh, I
would get so frustrated! And this was back before I had a VCR. When it
finally came on Sci Fi and I could watch it in relative order and actually
catch episodes I'd never seen -- Heaven. The TV Guide gave no episode
summaries and I had no access to the Internet or knowledge of what to do
with it if I did. I remember my shock at "Ashes to Ashes" -- how could
they do that to those characters??? And then "Last Knight" -- thinking to
myself, something's going on here, what's happening?? Surely this
isn't.....Tracey?!? What is LaCroix saying? It's all so confusing and
frightening. I have a bad feeling......And then the scene shifted and the
sun rose and I sat shell-shocked. My long, difficult voyage was over and
coming into harbor was such a hard thing.....

also, which networks would it be plausible to ask to carry fk? <<<<<

The best way for Sci -Fi to notice us out there is for everyone to continue
the monthly blitz's to thier feedback.
As for networks that might carry FK..Well, After reading all the info on the
TNT website, I decided, (since many fans wanted us to spread our wings a
bit).. that they seemed very receptive to the viewing audience, and have in
the past brought back many many fan faves. As a matter of fact more Fave shows
are going to appear on that network in the fall.So I along with the rest of
KtK decided they were the best to begin with.If everyone sends in e-mails
during our blitz, and snail mail letters to them , its a good way to test the
waters, and see if they are willing to give it a go.
Next month, we could add another network, say, UPN, or whatever seems to
everyone of you to have the best chance of giving us all what we want.Of
course, the door is hardly closed on Sci-Fi itself!! We do know that FK's
return is an ongoing discussion with TPTB there..

This episode also has a second alumni in it, Lisa Howard, who was in Spin
Doctor (she was the crazy assistant of one of the candidates). This
episode will also be rerun on Sat at noon ET.

Just wondering!!!

One more reason not to pick up hitchhikers, especially in California!

Picking Up Hitchhikers Sucks ---------------

A lonely stretch of highway between Santa Cruz and San
Francisco is the scene of a bizarre blood-sucking incident.
That's right - Joshua Roise picked up would-be vampire Eric
David Knight who was hitchhiking his way to San Francisco.
When they reached their destination Knight gave Roise a
friendly hug, and then clamped down on his neck like an
aggravated badger. Roise says he asked Knight "repeatedly
to stop (but) he only clamped down harder." The hitcher,
who is homeless, told police claimed he suffered from a
disease that left him unable to eat food. According to the
police report he said, "I need the cure...I need blood."
Knight has been charged with misdemeanor counts of battery
and resisting arrest.
[If it weren't for police, Roise might have literally left
his heart in San Francisco.]

Subject: Czajkowski 's first name

A couple of questions: Did Nick's former cop partner, Czajkowski, have a
first name? I've looked at several episode guides on the web, but they all
just had a last name. It is possible that, since his appearance was brief, he
wasn't given one by the writers. I was planning on having him make an
appearance in a fanfic (it will be a much older Czajkowski and not a
flashback). Also, what name was Nick using at the time? The license Schanke
discovers says Nicholas Forrester, but wasn't he in Chicago after the date on
the license?

Thanks in advance.

No, but I will be attending the Ohio Rennasance Festival. And If anyone else
is coming to that, I too would like to meet.

I just watched "Last Act" again (inspired by Raven Breena's terrific
synopsis) and noticed that just before Schanke comes into the loft ( and
does his 'red wine shouldn't be refrigerated bit) Nat is sitting in the
black leather armchair and Nick is straddling the arm and has to turn away
from Nat to look at Schanke on the security monitor. Nick and Nat sure
seemed pretty close for people who were still "just friends".

Also in the alter scene in the precinct when just before Nick runs off to
the theatre, the 3 of them are trying to convince Stonetree that Marilyn
wasn't a suicide and Nat is scratching her left wrist incessantly. Did
Catherine have poison ivy or something? :-)

That's hilarious! I'm actually in the process of moving my life to a little
town on that stretch of highway...I'm going to have to keep an eye out for
this roving Knight...

It sounded like either "Rood" or "Rook".

I heard it as "Rook" & thought it was short for "Rookie", but then I've been

Me too. I had done a convention with Lisa Ryder shortly before this episode
aired, and she gave tantalizing/frightening hints about this episode and LK,
but by no means spoiled the shock effect.

I'd keep a crossbow or wooden stake handy for this one, if I were you.

Dennis Miller hit it correctly in Bordello of Blood.
He pointed out that the person who thought to load a
Supersoaker water gun with HolyWater to kill vampires was a
genius.

Subject: Result of UV board

If anyone is interested you might check out the scifi bboard (FK board):

http://www.scifi.com/bboard/browse.cgi/1/5/528/2728

That's crazy, the guy was on the UV board and got badly flamed by FK fans
because he said (very politely the first couple of times...) it was time for us
to move on, because it was hopeless. But he also mentioned he was a long-time
FK fan himself and wrote countless letters way back. (We were really lucky that
most of the UV people there actually mentioned they loved FK too!!)
And now he dropped by the FK board and offers that he might have a chance to
do an article for FK in an adult vampire magazin, and asks how we think about
it!
Perhaps some of the elders here know him? His handle is OdinsCircle, but he
signed with "Later, John / Embrace the Knight" If it works, it would hit all the
comic shops across America.

As I left work one night last week, I see one of these newly placed in front
