Actually, I always thought that if Nick was to become mortal he would get
himself killed. After spending almost 800 years as a vampire, I just don't
see him adjusting in time to not get hit by a car or a bullet. Even though
he's spent some time 'passing' as mortal, he constantly uses his powers, and
so is still used to being able to move at vampire speed, see with vampire
sight, smell, hear, etc. Oh, yeah, and fly. It would take a while to get
used to not being able to dodge bullets, not to mention *having* to dodge
bullets. Longer, I think, than it would take for him to get shot.
It would be such a waste to finally become mortal only to die after a few days
or weeks by getting hit by a car or something. But old habits are hard to
break. And invincibility is an old habit for any of our old vamps.
And boy, would LaCroix be pissed!

Hi to all my Canadian friends!

Hope I don't get staked for posting this but...

I am planning to visit your fair country at the end of next year. I was
hoping someone may know of any online 'work search' sites, or better, still
any work which might be avaliable for a few months in the TO, NS, Montreal
areas. You know that corner of Can and the US.
I can do anything. Have pack can travel.<g>

Please re off list! Many thanks!
Kylie.

Subject: The Triple TPTB Blitz Day 5!

Hi everyone!

It is DAY 5 of the Triple TPTB Feedback Blitz! It is time to once again
show just how much you want more of the Knight! Except rember this time we
are not stopping with just Sci-fi. This time out, we are blitzing Sci-Fi,
USA NETWORKS and Columbia Tristar! Its a triple dose of e-mails from each of
you the fans that would love to not only have FK back on Sci-fi's schedule,
but want to make sure everyone knows that we are want more FK with the
original cast in new eps and or movies!!

So, what do you say? Are you ready to sit down, take that few minutes and
send off three e-mails? It could make all the difference in the world!
So, say a little or say a lot, but say it!! We can make more FK happen!!!

Every day, *May 15th, through May 22nd*, we are asking everyone to blitz
all three feedbacks!!! You can re-use the e-mails you did before, or write
new ones. They can be long, or as short as just saying, "Bring Back Forever
Knight."

Here's the addresses PLUS the 4th one which is where you can also
write for FK on video!

monica so eloquently said:
> And boy, would LaCroix be pissed! [Nick becomign mortal]

Got that right.
Can any of you honestly see the General allowing this to happen? Even if
the link between them was lost, LaCroix would hire the services of every
bounty hunter and private eye known to both worlds to get Nick back---and
then drain him all over again with threats of dire consequences to his
friend mortals if he didn't reject the Light a for second time.

Cure or not, as long as LaCroix is in power Nick doesn't have a chance of
gaining---and keeping---his goal. (for which we dark and twilight knighties
are mighty glad!)

Oh, and Monica? I wouldn't need the aid of Nick to escape LaCroix's wrath
after calling him 'Fred' to his face. I've got the loyal help of the Inka
as well as a high garlic/blood ratio right now. Not to mention a
high-powered megaphone with Super Bass stereo backup speakers by Bose<tm>
So..

No time? No time for our Knight? Like jobs, family, and sleep can be more
important? Must we send LaCroix over to whammy sense into you, Rosemary?
Maybe Bruno and Grunt: the Enforcers?

I tend to agree, especially if he tried to continue working
as a policeman. If he returned to a 'safer' job such as
archaeology/teaching the odds of his survival would be better.

And I seem to recall one or two fanfic stories where he died or
was severely injured *because* he tried to continue being a cop
after regaining his mortaility, though I don't remember the
fanfic titles/authors. Anyone else remember?

*brushing off the cobwebs and delurking for a moment*

I'm sitting here with Sci-Fi channel on in the background, and a movie
called Dream House (from 1998) is on. Suddenly I hear music from the Raven
on! I also realize the background music sounds very much like Fred Mollin.
Did he do the music for this movie? IMDB has very poor credits for it, so
there's no composer listed.

Yes, he did. The movie's so-so, but the music is great as ever!

My "Looking In" was sorta kinda sad. At least, I was sad when I wrote it.
<g> Not hard when it's centered on Last Knight. And "Solace" is on the
melancholy side, dealing as it does with Janette's leaving Nicholas in the
PotM flashback. Both can be found on my fiction site:
http://home.sprynet.com/~looscann/ Heck, and neither of them are slash,
really. <wg>
