It was posted several years ago, but is still on fkfanfic. Enjoy! So far there are 305 signatures for it. The rest of KTK and I, would really like to see that number climb though... We are ALL fans of the Knight, and don't we ALL want it to come back to Sci-fi? Don't we ALL want more merchandise? Well this is why this petition has been started!! ALL of you must sign this! If you haven't already please send me, kris1228@s....... your "NAME/STATE/COUNTRY" (offlist). That's all I need to add you to the list. It's that easy! And if you don't want to send either your name or location, just use a fake one (though this is not perfered, and if you must fake anything let it be your location). This info is strictly to show the range of FK fans through out the world. Remember the deadline is BEFORE Valentine's Day, Feb.14th, so please add your name before then. Once again to any who don't know what the petition is going to be used for... ---------------------------------------------------------------- Posted by Susan Field: It is a special Valentine Card designed by the wonderful artist that does the ADS for us at Kickstart the Knight. I will be sending it to Bonnie Hammer at Sci-FI on your behalf. Inside will contain a petiton signed by you the Forever Knight fans, asking for the return of the program to the schedule and movies with the original cast plus merchandise. I also intend to add a Valentine goody basket to go with it.(something to eat while she reads the sigs!!) As you know, Valentines Day is not that far off, and the card, etc will be going out a few days before the holiday, so please, if you haven't already signed, take a little time while online to do it. Spread the word to everyone, anyone(with list owners permission of course!) and friends you have from other fandoms say "Dark Shadows" the Sentinel', etc... that also love FK. Remember guys!! We CAN make more happen but we have to keep the momentum going. --------------------------------------------------------------- So everyone please send me your NAME/STATE/COUNTRY before the 14th!! ALL of us must unite to bring Forever Knight back, with new merchandise and return movies! I know this may sound highly irregular, but I have a favor to ask, if y'all would be so kind. My twin bro, who is working on his last semester of college, is taking a class in Abnormal Psychology. One of his assignments for this semester is to write up a psychological diagnosis about someone from real life. I thought that site from the gal who made that "I Hate Geraint Wyn Davies" site might be interesting. I know it may sound weird, but I can't think of a better example of a stalker who isn't famous. He won't use names ( I don't even know who it is to begin with), and it won't go outside his classroom. Does anyone know the web addy for that site? If y'all don't want to, that's okay. He can always use our Uncle Corny. <g> If anyone can help us, thanks. KC snix@a....... Why did the producers want a blond LaCroix in the first season? It made a nice change to have two vampires with blond hair instead of the more predictable dark colouring. But why? Was it an attempt at grey hair, to make him look older and give him more gravitas as an ancient, that accidentally (and fortuitously <g>) tipped into platinum? I'm looking at a color publicity still of Nigel as LaCroix in the first season, which I got out to make sure I wasn't remembering wrong. His hair wasn't blond. It was bleached dead white, no pun intended. There seem to be some gray highlights (possibly where Nigel's hair naturally had darker highlights), but it's definitely not blond. It probably looks that way on some sets or some umpteenth generation tapes from off the air. As to why the producers wanted it, I don't know. I do recall Nigel's saying at a con that he showed up for work or wardrobe or something of the sort and, "they said, 'whack it off and bleach it." He was asked, "what did you say?" Nigel shrugged. "Ok." In the other two seasons, it was back to Nigel's own color (which he once described at a con as "its lovely natural mouse") because they wouldn't give him an exclusive contract. Otoh, if he was going to play other parts while doing LC, there wasn't much of a market for the first season LC's, so he declined to let them bleach it again. I think I've heard that we never see LC's hair in the style of any historical period, just always short because the idea was that LC never changes no matter what. I don't know specifically why TPTB wanted LC's hair bold (or, as McLisa says "dead white"), but when I first started watching I thoguht it had to do with trying to show and "attitude" for the show. Kind of "punk" or "hip" or different. Maybe trying to catch a specific age or gender group. I kind of enjoyed LC's "do" (even though I gather Mr. Bennett didn't), but I found it didn't make a difference to my enjoyment of the character when it went back to it's natural color. Too bad I'm prone to procarstination. ^_^; > Um......what's a blanket fic?? *GRIN* Sooooooo glad you asked. It's a fic challenge that started in some anime fandom...I forget which...but has since spread practically everywhere. ^_^ It goes like this: You take two characters (or three, but usually two) and put them in a deserted one-room cabin on top of a mountain, in the middle of a forest, with a big nast blizzard blowing. There's nothing in the cabin but one slightly moth-eaten blanket, and MAYBE a sink (which has no hot water). There is no heat, or electricity. Both characters must stay warm, and surviv to the next day...or night, as it would be...^_^ I figured FK would be a GREAT series for blanket fics, because there's a lot of characters, and the deserted cabin in the snowstorm requirement would be pretty easy to meet as well. ^_^ ~Abra ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 Jan 2000 20:09:25 -0600 From: Drew Nix <snix@a.......> Subject: Ger Site Thanks I just want to say thanks to all who sent me the site and associated sites, Jeff now has plenty to work with. I have since heard tell that said fridge is still for sale and that when you open the door, it says "Moo!" In truth, I do not think Nick would find it appropriate for his loft--he's far too dignified and too worried about appearing "normal" to visitors. Besides, the design would only serve to remind him of the unappetizing nature of the contents and discourage him from sticking to his diet. McLisa For information on managing your subscription and on listserv commands, please see Don Fasig's page http://www.geocities.com/Athens/7139/fk-lists.htm 1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST MAY BE PERMANENT. 2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in replying. If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote the relevant four lines for that point also. 3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of text, your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of the six line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on putting an advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. I realize you can't control that and it doesn't count as part of your sig. 4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the person who wrote the post you are answering. 5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the listowners, Lisa McDavid, mclisa@m....... or Don Fasig, phase3@g....... for permission. 6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff and producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in the past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation to Forever Knight. 7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or how urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which you think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission. 8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other than that, we leave the cast their privacy. 9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there is a connection to FK. 10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff, before said projects have been released or written about in the media. 11. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as pseudonyms or posing as a character. 12. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l. I'll be happy to explain the reason for any of the above if asked. Thanks! Cousin McLisa (Lisa McDavid) "That will be Trouble." mclisa@m.......
