Should that have been 1247? 1274 is 46 years after Nick was brought
across. Even if we allow 15 years for Fleur to marry and bear one or
more children -- Andre might have been the only one to survive but
not the only child -- that puts Nick's visit to his mother and sister
in 1259, 31 years after he was brought across. There's no way Fleur was
anywhere near 31. She remembers when Nick left for the Crusades, so she
has to have been at least a small child. 31 was early middle age for
a medieval woman, aside from the fact that the character was clearly
still young.
I don't remember who wrote Fallen Idol, but if it really does say 1274,
for once I'm grateful that FK doesn't put place and date on screen for
flashbacks. I'd have been too busy doing arithmetic and then laughing
to enjoy the flashback.

In our area (Denver) TCI recently caught flak for removing a national
Learning Channel-type offering, and replacing it with (another) shopping
channel. Their reason was, that by law, they have to carry 30% locally
produced cable programming. (I *think* this is part of the new national
telecommunications law.) Could explain why the predominance of certain types
of programming in different areas, and why it may take even longer to get
the Sci-Fi Channel. Just my $.02 worth.

Oh, Preta, that's great! I am soooo glad another listmember will be
attending! I'm dealing my and Susan Garrett's zines there this weekend.
Let's get together (and all other listmembers who are coming to WHC are
also welcome) and have a party and watch the new episode (Ashes to Ashes)
of FK!
Eugene's UPN station shows FK the earliest of any station in the country:
Thursday at 8 (!) This is channel 32 (? might be 34--Brandy, can you
confirm?). Anyone who is going to be there Thursday, come to the
InterKnight Press table in the dealers room and I'll let you know what
room I'm in. I'll try to put up an announcement on whatever announcement
board the Con may set up, too.
You understand this is spur-of-the-moment stuff, and my roommates don't
know yet I'm inviting all of you, so be nice to them (Vicki and Janet)

Someone recently posted a response from the Sci-Fi channel saying that
they plan to run FK episodes from seasons 1 and 2 starting in 1997.
1997! I'll die before then! I've only seen most of season 3 and I just
can't can't can't wait that long!
Sooo-- A while back I downloaded some episode transcripts from Lt.
Darkangel's web page and I was wondering if there are any others
available. These were transcribed about a year ago by Victoria Meredith
and Allison Sabo, with help from Janet Dorndoff and Sara Welsh. Any help
would be greatly appreciated and may just save my life!

I haven't seen Nick wandering in the hills at night nor have I seen any
salt blocks at Nick's loft. :) So my guess is no.

I have had the experience of consuming pig's blood, it didn't seem unpleasant
to me, however others have commented that my room looks like a "pig pen". :)

Cynthia Hoffman, our resident ftp fiction site goddess, posted an
announcement not that long ago advising that the ftp fiction site was down
until further notice because they're doing some work on the site.
So, until we hear otherwise, I assume that this is the reason that you can't
reach the ftp site.

A few weeks ago this very thing did happen and resulted in an entire
night of chaos on the list. People were posting nonsense like crazy
which resulted in about 200-300 messages that had virtually no content at
all. For people who pay by the line (I'm not one thank goodness and my
university) it was an expensive disaster. The other result was lots of
hard feelings that are finally mostly gone though not forgotten. The
SKL, Saturday Knight Live, loop was created after the dust settled a
little bit. It is dedicated to craziness, nonsence, and having fun. No
seriousness allowed as far as I know. If you want to join the loop write
to our ListMommy/Webgoddess, Jamie Melody Randell. I'm sorry but I don't
have her address available at the moment, it was packed about an hour
ago but I think everyone has it somewhere.
I apologize for taking up so much bandwith here. I just really don't
want to see a repeat of what happened before. For the record I didn't
participate, I just lurked and laughed. What came Monday morning,
however was hurtful and I don't want to see it again.

Laurie C-F, Annmarie & I are hosting a get together for FORKNI-L
folks at Syndicon this weekend. Starting around 9pm (after the mixer) on

goodies, We'll have the 2nd season "thing" about which we all know nothing

I think I have a cognitive understanding of this work, now. Diana is
using what appears to be a digest mode to explain the cancellation of
FK, which she calls real life. She is using the fantasy characters of
FK to discuss the cancellation, refering to real people as the characters.
I believe the show in question in RL concerns librarians(?), but I don't
know why.
Now, she also imitates what some of our posts look like to fkspoilr and
forkni. (I haven't seen fkfic on there at all).
The NOBRAIN INC. is the company cancelling Forever Knight. From what I've
read, Diana is a Natpacker who thinks Tracy is a ditz (or at least portrays
Tracy as one).
I haven't been able to discern her opinions of Nick and Lacroix, however.
It's a highly creative piece, though. There is potential for this sort
of thing to get some recognition.
I enjoy reading it immensely.Onething though: I believe Lacroix would be
much more analytical on-line; in addition, I can seem him making subtle
jabs at some of the people subscribed to the list, since he does this on
the show. He's a smart-ass, and it doesn't appear that he can help himself.(-:
But that's my opinion, which matters very little.

evening about the tragedy of it all. I can only think of one other thing
in my life that made me feel as badly as there being a LAST Knight; I want
