He might prefer to help them anonymously (maybe via the DeBrabrant
foundation) if they needed anything. College tuition or medical help,
etc.

You'd think that Aristotle would keep up with this as a courtesy. It
might serve to protect Nick from others in his lineage who were doing
genealogical studies and who might run into him and start to wonder.

I was just at the site for the comic strip "For Better or For Worse"
and every month they have a letter from each of the characters.
For anyone who doesn't follow the strip, April is the youngest child
and she recently had her first kiss and likes this young boy named
Gerald.
Anyhoo, this month in her letter she talks about him and says she
calls him 'Ger' as a nickname. I juse about died!! :)

Nick remains a loner to protect the family line, if there is one, and also
himself because he's a vampire. Lacroix would have field day. Stay safe.

If the world knew about vampires, like in Jarvinia's Another Knight series
and Emily's stories, maybe Nick's relatives would find him. It would be an
interesting story that could also be a part of the 'if they only knew
challenge.' If they only knew...the vampires relatives would come out of
the woodwork, LOL.

Oops, English {smacks side of head}. Been watching too much anime
lately...
(Let's try this again.)

Ummmmmm...

I seem to remember someone (McLisa?) posting that J.P.'s idea behind
this was
that FK vampire fangs were hollow, as a venomous snake's, and that the blood
exchange took place at the "point of entry" as it twere. This has to be a
conscious, voluntary process, or as others have speculated, we'd be up to our
armpits in FK converts. Maybe in the case of Jack the Ripper, Lacroix was so
startled by the poisonous quality of his blood, he inadvertently triggered the
blood exchange. Kind of the equivalent of having the bejeezus scared out of
you and the involuntary reaction that sometimes happens...well, you get the
picture.

Of course, there are other situations, like Lacroix ripping open a wrist
vein
and drizzling his blood into, errrmm, whosiewhat girl--Nick's discarded
victim, can't remember her name--her mouth. I remember Lacroix murmuring
something to the effect of "there's life in you yet," that the girl was
teetering on the edge of death, but not quite dead yet.

I was watching Angel, and Angelus was being forced to
relive Angel's good deeds. During one of his
flashbacks, Angel, not wanting to feed on humans, was
digging through a garbage pile and grabbed a rat and
bit into it. Naturally, it was easy to imagine him
sharing a snack with another certain rat eater.

It's in the Canadian Version of "Father Figure". I
also have Kristin's version and she left it out of the
episode because it just doesn't make any sense where
they originally put it (would N. really fill bottles
with blood when the little girl is asleep upstairs?)
She has the scene in the outtake section of the movie
archives. Check there.

When FK started, I watched the first couple of episodes going "who
is this guy?" "Where is Rick Springfield?"

I, too saw NK when it originally aired. I heard a rumor that it might
become a series, and kept my fingers crossed. Since our local CBS station
chose to run "All in the Family" reruns instead of the Crimetime After
Primetime series, I didn't know about FK until I picked up a fanzine
anthology called "Good Guys Wear Fangs". It has wonderful artwork as well
as stories, but my first thought was: Who is this blond guy that's supposed
to be Nick? When second season was picked up in syndication, I quickly
found out.

He looks like Ger during the first season when he was more 'scruffy'.
Not so much during the second and third seasons.

I have an extra copy of Nick Knight on VHS. It is an actual copy in
the original box, not dubbed from tv. It has only been watched a
couple of times so it is like new. I will give it to the first
person who emails me - no charge.

Sorry, The Nick Knight VHS has been claimed. He's off to a new home.

BTW, I was watching it last night and it seemed that the humor was a
little forced. Maybe it was the actors, or perhaps the director, but
even with the exact same dialogue, it seemed much more natural in FK.
(ie like when Nick "Somebody shoot me, please" in reaction to
Schanke being his partner)

Would't be pronounced the same though, the "G" in
Geraint is a hard G like in "Goblin", the G in Gerald
is a soft G.

No, but it is located at Lois Dodson's site under filler scenes. The addy is:

It was a scene found in the CBS version of Father Figure only.
