Too fun! I recognized a bunch of those clips, including one he did for my
newspaper, the Pioneer Press. I had no idea!

And you know, I heard a commercial that sounded like Nigel did it. I don't
remember what the product was, but it sure sounded like him.

Ah, very nice. Also, Arthur's song from "Camelot," which Nick could sing of
Natalie "today" and Janette in a flashback...

"How to handle a woman?"
"There's a way," said the wise old man.
"A way known by every woman since the whole rigmarole began."
"Do I flatter her?" I begged him answer.
"Do I threaten or cajole or plead?
"Do I brood or play the gay romancer?"
Said he smiling, "No indeed."
"How to handle a woman?
"Mark me well, I will tell you sir....
"The way to handle a woman
"Is to love her...
"Simply love her....
"Merely love her.
"Love her.
"Love her."

To steal a filk that Laurie MercBard started a number of years ago:

Hmmm, someone who can do filk could probably do a version of "Show Me,"
for Nat to sing to Nick. (i.e. - Quit telling me you don't want to be a
vampire; show me!)

And I'd love to see a filk version of "Just You Wait," for Nick to sing
about LaCroix when Nick gets really teed off at him again.

Bring 'em back alive!

Hello, everyone!

I've decided that you all must be a little to the left of warped. LOL

Of course, I'm past that by now but this thread for the Fk musical is not
helping. Bad enough that I filked Manilow's Copacabana, now I have Lacroix
singing Gilbert and Sullivan in my head! ("I am the very model of a modern
major general...")

Dear Lord, I could stand to lose some of my imagination. Divia singing Scar's
song from the Lion King, "Yes, my teeth and ambition are bared, be
prepared!", Janette singing "The seven deadly virtues" from Camelot, Tracey
singing Julie Brown's "Cause I'm a blonde"... Screed mangling "Oklahoma!"
I am beginning to dread whatever my mind dredges up for Schanke or Vachon or
Nat, not to mention the Captains. I think I should shut it off but I can't
find the button. I am soooo warped. :)

Hope you are all having a nice day.

I just remembered something I've been meaning to send because I
thought you guys would get a kick out of it.
When I was looking for "Keeper of the King" in my library's
electronic catalog I searched under author for Nigel Bennett.
That's how I discovered the existence of a Nigel C. Bennett, born
in 1961, who had written a book titled "African Mole Rats: the
Biology and Eusociology".

And to think we thought Screed always just went by the name "Screed!" Wow! He
was an author, I'm impressed ;-)

By the way, for the newbies on the list. Greg "Screed" Kramer is a "noted, award
nominated Canadian author!" His whacky and wonderful mystery type novels are
'Pursemonger of Fugu' and 'Couchwarmer.' If you like movie maker John Waters,
that's the closest comparison I can make to explain Greg's books - though they
really are in a genre of their own.<g> He also has a collection of short stories
which originally appeared in Toronto's edition of XTRA! called 'Hogtown Bon
Bons.'

(There's ANOTHER author named Greg Kramer, but he writes books based on computer
and electronic games.)

My brain does that too - But brains do that
Usually you have to go through 10 or 20 really bad ideas
(Sometimes dark twisted ideas that might get you locked up)
before you come up with something COOL

Not to be confused with The Musical. :-)

Just thought I'd mention that FK alumnus Geordie Johnson (Jerry of the MBIAV
"Jerry Show") has a very nice part in Showtime's, Charms for the Easy Life,
which will be running next week. I saw it last week and both he and the film
are excellent, good enough for everybody to be talking about it afterwards at
an industry screening. The only adverse comments heard were about some minor
male-bashing, but it's nothing this group can't handle <g>.

It's a period piece about three generations of (mostly) strong women, with
Gena Rowlands and Mimi Rogers, and Johnson plays one of the men in their lives.
