Subject: Makeovers

Hmmn, if TPTB had made over the other FK vamps as they did Janette...

-Nick in sideburns and retro 70s wear ala Tyler Durden, snarling lines like
"Humans are not unique and special like snowflakes--they're just decaying
organic matter that you've got to harvest before they get overripe!"

-LaCroix as the vampire Yoda: "Control the Beast, you must. Else drawn
into evil you will be."

-Screed's hidden wealth is revealed as he sets up an 'antiques and
collectibles' business and woos Natalie with gifts of expensive antique
jewelry.

-Miklos is hired by an ad agency for an update of the famous "Mikey Likes
It!" commercial.

-Urs, using a combination of vampiric strength and power and a mastery of
kung fu, becomes the defender of abused and exploited women

-Divia goes into therapy

-Vachon gets a job.

That's not how I saw that scene at all. I saw Nat putting a brave face on
the fact that Nick was rejecting her - again. Given the number of times
and ways that Nick has pushed her and her offers of help away in the past, I
can see her thinking, well, MAYBE he doesn't want to try it because he
doesn't want to risk my life; and maybe it's because he just doesn't want me
that much. The face-saving option is to act as if she believes the reason
he's giving her, that he doesn't want to risk her life. But if she argues,
he may have to admit that, well, she's a great gal, Natalie is, he thinks
the world of her, he really does, hey, she's like a sister to him ... so she
doesn't push him, in case she's going to have to hear that.

I can't say I blame her, but of course she would have been a whole lot
better off to press him about 4 years previously, and go find another guy
when it became clear Nick couldn't commit ...

inviting aliens to kidnap Nick, and other mayhem. But Kyer will not touch a

Screed as Donald Trump in crisp business suit and shiny shoes. (So? Nobody
changes *that* much. He'd still be collecting the pretty shinies.) He's
taken over the majority of shares in a pet toy company specializing in
catnip-filled rats. Vice President Sydney Lambert is his technical advisor.
Perry handles the dog line of products. Bovine expert Nick designs squeaky
cows. LaCroix tests them for durability because putting the bite on things
is what he does best. If only they could get him to quite putting the bite
on things besides the toys...

LaCroix as Iceman--capable of seducing or terrorizing with just a glance of

Nick as Knightmare--forget the badge: he's a vigilante fighting crime where

Vachon as The Spaniard--the mysterious wanderer, he's always there in times

Screed as, well, Screed--the carouche knows every hidden passage,

Oh, my, I'm suddenly having visions of an FK/La Femme Nikita crossover --
can you imagine Lacroix going up against Operations, or matching wits with
Madeline? (I'd love to see her psych profile of LC <g>) Janette wearing the
Section Standard Black Leather Uniform with *real* style...Janette showing
Michael a *really* good time, and probably driving him to say more than one
word, maybe even entire sentences...Nikita and Nick, sharing emotions and
angst and blond jokes...Schanke and Walter watching it all on the
sidelines...Birky and Aristotle sharing hacking tips...Felicks Twist
admiring Madeline's bonsai collection...

Uh-oh. The fanfic fairies are whispering in my ear.

I think he knew the whole thing was a myth and was just playing with Nick's
head.
Look at his reaction when he says to Nick, something like, "I knew you
would ask for my wisdom someday," and Nick replies with, "Your
knowledge. And your age." LaCroix is disappointed and tries not to show
it. But his son his rejected him one more time. Notice that he goes over
and touches the scorch on the door and, supposedly talking about Serena,
says something about, "Baby lust." LaCroix has decided he's going to get
back at Nick and manipulate things so that Nick can once again experience
the rejection from his own child that he constantly makes LaCroix feels
from his.

And even if it wasn't complete hogwash, Serena was just guessing that it was
the extra Y chromosome that was the key. Or, what if (everybody in denial
