I'll try it again when I get home, but the picture is centered with just the
white background continuing from under his nose. It really looks like it was
drawn to be a study of his eyes, which I now know is not true.

I'm afraid all I'd be qualified to do is review, beta or critique--but I'll
do those if you want.

Also, if you're doing this in black-and-white *and* you have the funds
available, you might want to consider doing this as a limited edition
charity project.

Rome was not built by holding committe meetings. It was done by killing all
those who opposed them.

It's from Urs's POV, so it's linked off *HER* fic page!!
http://www.ScreedWasHere.com/fanfic/urs.html

specifically, http://www.ScreedWasHere.com/fanfic/urs/lullaby.html

It's a post-Fever story. Very sweet. It was written last September/October --
I don't think it ever got posted anywhere but this website.

people (scene 1 - the show opener - they are killed. Scene 2, we find them
with a toe-tag with Nat describing what has happened to them to
Nick/Schanke/Tracy)<<

<snicker, snort, guffaw!> I like that one! Faction members could discuss
why the actor who was so good in scene one totally blew it in scene two, or
vice versa, research the proper format of toe tags, and wonder why there's a
blackboard and anatomy charts on the wall of the morgue (I mean, didn't
these people go to college? <j/k>).

Isn't there already a Grace-Nat faction out there, or is it a Grace/Nat
faction?

It's something on the order of an acid test or a
touchstone.

I admit I had to look up the location of the story in
the Bible. It comes from the 12th chapter of Judges.
The Gileadites and the Ephraimites had just fought a
battle. The two tribes spoke slightly different
dialects of Hebrew, one of which had no sh sound. The
winners barred the ford over the Jordan and demanded
that any man who wanted to use it pronounce the word
"shibboleth." (It means "ear of grain.") The losers
couldn't make the sh sound and were slaughtered.

This is probably an old gripe to a lot of you by now, but keep in mind I
just started seriously following the show again this year--I used to watch
it in high school, when it was in its first run.

Boy, do I feel ripped off. I keep hearing about this infamous
popcorn-throwing scene at the end of False Witness (one of the last episodes
I still hadn't seen), and in the Showcase broadcast version I just watched
(and taped!) it was cut! We are not amused. In point of fact we are now
wondering what else we have been missing.

Just thought I'd express my abject frustration to you all, before I go back
to my mental debate over ordering the tape from a site online that sells
television first-runs.

Eve.

Okay, I figured out the problem--Angelfire is such a pain, they don't always
let browsers link directly to the images directory because they don't want
people just using their website space as a dumping ground. Ahem. So I've put
it on a page, everyone should be able to see it now, sorry for the
inconvenience.

https://www.angelfire.com/mb/malecandra/nickdrawing01.html

I can't say I know how to help those who are just getting the eyes though.
If anyone has any more trouble with it, just e-mail me privately and I can
send it along. No harm, no foul.

Eve.

Oh, don't do that. THere are a number of kind people onlist who can provide
you with Canadian versions of the first season, and uncut versions of the
other two seasons. Marg Yamanaka is one of our best tape fairies---you might
contact her at mytoronto@s........
