Haven't posted in a while, so here goes.

Well, I am retired. Forever Knight is still my firstlove. I’m not much
into other fandoms. One of my new loves is Murdoch Mysteries, known on
Ovation as The Artful Detective. I am a fan of Gotham and hope theydon’t
cancel it. My dog Nicholas diedseveral years ago, but I now have 2
cats. One black cat named Vachon and theother a white with gray spots
named Patches.

I do miss the Nick and Nat stories that use to be written, but I
understand time and real life moves on.

Drool, drool! What did you get to see in Florence? I'm kind of a
Renaissance freak. Did you get to see any Etruscan sites in Tuscany?

I'm still working at the library, and now helping take care of my mom
since her health has been up and down lately. I'm still in FK,
Highlander and Due South fandoms from back in the day. These days, my
big obsession is Star Wars. But you won't find me anywhere near the
stuff Disney's putting out. I'm a diehard Legends/EU fan and refuse to
have anything to do with Disney's stuff. I'm active in Facebook and
Twitter in the moment to get Disney to restart the Legends book
production.

On TV, my shows are gone :( I was a diehard CSI NY fan until it ended
its run, and got into original CSI, only to drift away when most of the
original cast left and my ship got ruined (at least they got together
again in the finale). I never got into Miami. Drifted away from Bones,
too, sadly.

I've also gotten into Animorphs and Terminator (but again with the
picky...I don't care for Genisys' concept and haven't bothered to watch.
I actually liked T3 and Salvation and have mixed feelings about the news
that's coming out with a new film in the works.) I'm also big into
Pokemon and got into Guardians of Ga'Hoole and sort of Warrior Cats,
and am still really into Jurassic Park franchise. I'm also into stuff
connected modding my 3ds console, along with Iphone jailbreak, although
I can't get a jailbreak at the moment.

I've drifted away from Buffy and Angel.

I'm really glad this group is still here...it's one of my oldest, along
with one or two Yahoogroups from way back then that are still
semi-active.

Hi All,

I've never left so technically, I don't think I can be "back". FK was
the first fandom I was ever active in. I got away from fandomy things
until, due to a bet, I went to see "Thor: The Dark World" and fell for
Tom Hiddleston and eventually everything in the Marvel Cinematic
Universe. In the last three years I discover Supernatural and am
completely in love with the show. I have attended several conventions,
both to meet Marvel actors and Supernatural-specific conventions. I am
loving being a middle-aged fangirl! LOL!

On a personal side, last year I found my biological family (I am
adopted), and now have wonderful relationships with my mom,
half-brother, and nephew. At 49, I am playing softball two nights a week
and volleyball one night. Also get in some tennis when I can.
Physically, I'm not in that great of shape, but I love to stay active.
Also doing a lot of stuff with our local Model T club and antique
automobile club. I currently volunteer for a hospice organization and
have gone back to school for health information technology.

Finally, I'm still friends on FB with Jon Cassar, Nigel, and Ger. Nigel
and Ger don't post often, but Jon posts a lot and it is fun watch his
career online.

We have lost several of us over the years so it is always wonderful to
hear from our online friends here! I'm very glad this thread was
started!

It's really fun to see what everybody has been up to of late, so I guess
I'll throw in my contribution.

Some of you already know that I started a second career in earnest as a
bead store owner about seven years ago. The store and website is doing
well even in these uncertain economic times, but I've been working
longer hours than I ever did in my first career! Retail can be a killer
and it's always a total time suck. I'm starting to back off now and
turning the day to day operation to younger hands.

I had a major scare a few years ago when a routine Pap smear revealed
that I was in the very early stage of cervical cancer, but thanks to the
Canadian health system, it was dealt with quickly and after an overnight
stay in hospital, I've since been declared cancer-free and unlikely to
relapse.

Next week I'm very excited to be closing on a new condo in mid-town
Toronto. The real estate market in Toronto is completely nuts and I was
lucky to find a place in a great location at a price that I could
(barely!) afford.

On an FK-related note, one of the places I looked at while I was
condo-hunting was the film site for Nick's loft, now converted to
condos. The old water tower is still there, although it was moved to a
different part of the roof. Some of the old sliding warehouse doors are
now features in a few of the apartments. The unit I looked at was about
1000sf, with the upper level on the ground floor and the bedroom in the
basement. Lovely weathered wooden beams and supports. However, the
realtor told me that after the bidding war was over, it would probably
go for slightly over a million dollars! Definitely only people with
Nick's money can live here!
