From what I've heard of the first 2-3 wars, this could be the time to scale
back to those roots. They were impromptu weekends of Round Robin revelry,
right?, a group of fans who just happened to be online one Friday night. More
like a fan fiction flash mob than the two-week Iron Man marathons that became
the rule by War 5. Smaller numbers of participants, little planning involved.
The earliest wars gave rise to the first factions, after all, so no character
controls to coordinate, impromptu plots were the game.

So I'd suggest limiting whatever happens to a weekend, and whoever is free at
the time submit your permission and have fun with it. And maybe, just maybe,
if we keep things simple and fun, War won't feel like a commitment of labor
and responsibility that can't happen more than once a year.
