From memory of an interview with Catherine Disher:
The first one says, "Racism is pure ignorance." The second, according to
CD, is a slogan about eating meat, but she said it was so vaguely phrased
that she couldn't tell if it was meant to be for or against it. The
producer brought them in one day and wanted her to wear them.
I also remember her in a university sweatshirt at some point, but am not
sure which one. Maybe Alberta?

Rats! Her arm is in the way.
I see that there are three rows altogether, the top ("RACISM") being in
larger letters. The bottom says, "OR NOT". So the punchline is ... in that
second row that I can't see either!

We'll be playing the fifth annual "FKFicFest" fiction exchange game
this year, celebrating _Forever Knight_ and its amazing fans.
Sign-ups are open through Saturday, June 7. Come join us! All FK fans
are welcome!
For those who don't know, the game works basically like this:
Each player (1) submits a slate of story prompts, (2) receives in
return a slate of prompts submitted by someone else, (3) over about
two months, writes a story of at least 1,000 words to fulfill any one
of the prompts received, (4) receives from someone else a story that
fulfills any of the prompts submitted, and (5) a wonderful FK time is
had by all.

Game play will be largely the same as in the past several years, but
we're running two new experiments just for 2014: crossovers are
allowed, and closely related small stories may add up to the 1K
minimum word count. We've also granted a jubilee amnesty to all past
defaulters; the slate is clean! (As before, graphic artists are also
welcome, but we're such a text-based fandom that they must expect to
be matched with writers.)
The most common question from ForKni-L members in the past has been,
can you play without having either a LJ or DW account? The answer is,
it's really hard, because that's where all our reminders go, and
(trust me ~grin~) you'll want to see the reminders; however, if you
have a good reason for not wanting to set up a free account on either
LJ or DW, talk to me about it and we'll come up with something.

for all the details.
And if you have any other questions, please ask me! (I'm the
moderator -- that is, the game's host/manager/gofer.) However, I've
been set digest here on ForKni-L for many years now :-) so if you'd
like a speedier answer, please be sure to CC me as well as reply to the list.
2014 Game Schedule:
- 6/07: Sign-ups close.
- 6/09: Prompt assignments sent.
- 7/09: Deadline to drop out without any fuss.
- 8/09: Stories due.
- 8/10: Pinch-hitter assignments sent.
- 8/11: Stories begin revealing.
We've had a blast in each of the four previous games. We're looking
forward to another delightful fic fest with our delightful FK fan
friends. Do consider joining in! Every FK fan and faction is welcome.

Just a short quick plug!
If nothing else, take a look at the stories.
Some are silly, some are strange, but all in all
there are some really great FK stories here.
I'm sure you all would enjoy some of them.
