Subject: WAR: Ravenette: Something New is Coming

Alex woke up from a light doze in first class on the Boeing 747 I checked
my email on my iPad
thinking of what will be happening, no War announced this will be strange I
thought, no War
no mischievous pranks nothing but a getting together for the the 20th
anniversary will be
interesting.

I looked over to Barbara still sleeping in the next seat she was so excited
to come well I
had no choice had to as couldn't leave her behind as Delia is away.

Hmm no War I though how long before some one starts something its too
irresistible
to stay good and not to start a War maybe just a little War would be needed.

Hope the limo will be there and Jannette has the Raven nice and warm,
Toronto isn't
too welcoming with the weather at this time of the year.

Still on time for arrival at Toronto checking my watch for the nth time
this time will be different
with Barbara, hope she behaves and plays nice with every one.

Last War Jannette said to bring Barbara along next time, I think Barbara
will enjoy it as she likes
people with scary eye's in the movies and TV shows.

I got up and walked to get a whiskey from the Steward and started to sip it
down, hope I packed
enough clothes for the weather for me and Barbara hate to get a cold for
either of us.

Not long now looking at my watch till we start the decent to Toronto's
airport.
Will be nice to see everyone there lots to catch up on and always nice to
talk to Jannette
and see what clothes she has this time, I'm sure she will try to teach
Barbara what she needs
to know about what to wear good luck there Barbara maybe three and a half
but she's
stubborn on what to wear.

Ah starting to defend better wake up my little one and start to prepare it
will be a interesting
anniversary.

"You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I
thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the
terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them?
So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the
universe". Marcus, B5

Bonnie Pardoe and I have an arc of activities planned for the next few days,
and could use people of various factions to participate.

If you're interested, give us a shout out on or off list.

1) One or more Knightie volunteers - We'd be giving you a call at the loft
first, and you would be helping us with a quest late Sunday afternoon

2) Possible NNP thing? - I know the NNP HQ is in a theatre, but is it a
working theatre? We need to 'help out' backstage at a play. It'd be nice to
involve a faction here, but we can always hit a play somewhere else in TO.
Regardless, one or two volunteers for some matinee mayhem would be welcome.

3) We need someone who likes sushi and sake to get arrested with us. If you
volunteer for this one, you will be missing from your faction for a few days.

Again, if you are interested, give us a shout out on or off list, and we will
contact you with more details of what we are doing. First come, first served,
yadda yadda.

Late to the party as usual! Figured out my fk-fic issues (hopefully) and
sent off a message to McLisa. Reposting here as it seems to be the "thing
to do."

I, Allison Lahikainen, announce my participation in war 15 and give
permission for my likeness to be used and attacked at will.

Subject: WAR: Toronto in the Pink

Alex and Barbara arrived at the carousel waiting for the luggage to arrive
we both heard flights\
being cancelled I went to the a official he said" due to a unknown
explosion which has caused unusual coloration of the sky flights in and out
of Toronto have been delayed"

I wondered if this is due to a War being declared as iota was a Pink
coloration so I wondered, Barbara was impatient to get to the Raven so I
didn't investigate this further.

Has a War been declared with out an announcement never I thought but you
never
know in our List what may happen.

I saw Miklos waiting for us so quickly gave him out luggage and went to the
Limo, a quick drive to the Raven saw us unpacking and getting ready for the
day to come at the apartment above
the Raven night club.

"When will I see Jannette" cried Barbara.
Tomorrow after we rested I answered.

I will introduce you to every one I said to Barbara who was yawning, ah you
need more
sleep my little one as I placed her on her bed.

After I went down to the club it was deserted Milkos was behind the bar and
poured me
a malt whiskey which I sipped quickly and waited to see what will happen
as the day
unfolded.

I saw it! I've seen a little random lag in post dropping on both lists so
far, but it shows up eventually.

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to be a part of our War shenanigans!
Theoretically, if you've volunteered, Bonnie P. or I have emailed you off
list already to tell you more about what we're planning to do with you. This
e-mail is to sum up. If you've contacted us and haven't heard anything, I
apologize for being unorganized. If we overlooked anyone, I hope we can do
something later in the war.

1) Knighties - the Knighties, including Willow, will appear in one part of
our Greg Kramer-themed posts this afternoon to help out.

2) NNPers - There will be a matinee production of 'Sherlock Holmes' this
afternoon at the NNP theater. Libby and we will be 'helping' Kelly and Mary
C. backstage with the production.

3) Several people were interested in sushi and jail. (FK fans are the best,
am I right?!?) Kelly, Bast, Alex and Liz the Lucky will all wind up in TO
lockup with us in the wee hours Monday morning. Alex and Liz will disappear
with us from that jail for a longer adventure. Kelly and Bast may need
assistance getting out of jail afterward. :)

Lastly, we're working up to a longer arc involving flashbacks. So far in the
war, whenever we've mention flashbacks or used the words should-have,
would-have or could-have, we've had sparks of blue static electricity
appear somewhere. With the jail scene, we'll open a premise that anyone in
the War can run with in their own way if they feel like it.

Re: Volunteering

I'm not sure my message went through. My persona is now happily lit on
buttered rum. So I might be at a sushi place even though sober, I don't
like sushi. Please, please arrest me. I want to go to jail. I'm currently
acting alone, but am still a cousin.

If nothing else, wandering around the city drunk, calling "here, elephant,
here, Stonetree," would probably get me arrested. : ) It might also explain
what I'm doing in a sushi bar. <g>

You can totally help us getting arrested, McLisa! We'll have to leave you
in jail though. Where we're going, they don't have elephants...or
Stonetrees...

Subject: WAR: Faction scramble

Reminder to anyone who is interested in the "scrambled factions" premise:
*late tonight*, I'll be posting the story that starts this off. The title
will be "Faction Scramble". Those who live in another time zone can riff
off this before bedtime; alternatively, you can wake up tomorrow to a
scrambled world.

If you don't remember, this is the idea I put forward last fall. Basically,
some players will suddenly be absolutely *certain* that they belong to a
different faction.

Now this is *voluntary*. In all factions, there are bound to be some people
who want to remain "normal". People who are in tiny factions-of-one
probably want to stick with their original choice. Independents, of course,
make up their own minds.

Who changes (and into what) is up to you and your (real) faction, depending
on what sort of ideas you think will be fun.

Three rules:

    1. The switch can *not* be to one of the other factions officially
playing. (Knighties can't become Vaqueras, Perks can't become Cousins,
etc.)

    2. You're still really playing with the faction you signed up for.

    3. No one can be "whammied" back to normal.

As I said last fall, I am *hoping* some people pick obscure factions and
fractions. I'm personally planning to believe that I'm playing as a
Feliksity.
