Anyone with NatPack leanings...get your scrubs out of the closet! The newly
dieted "Natalie's Bed and Breakfast" (a little slimmer than of yore, but
still charming) has been officially added to the Forever Knight Website
Archive.

You can find it here: http://www.foreverknight.org/NataliesBandB/

Tonight is a VERY special night for me. My love of the 90's TV series FOREVER
KNIGHT and the character of LaCroix / the Nightcrawler (Played by Nigel Bennett)
- the Vampire Master who each week taunted his "child" Nick Knight (the vampire
who is atoning for his sins by helping humans as a Cop) over the radio night
after night - was such an inspiration to me that I have been emulating his
breathy, hypnotic style since 1996.

My personae of Viktor Aurelius is an homage to the character and since I first
began to record as "the Voice" I wanted to have my own radio show where I could
dispense wisdom, recite poetry and hold an audience captive with my voice. This
radio show was close to what I had planned but it was never exactly what was
originally intended.

Tonight we will spend the night as if it were C.E.R.K. Radio in Toronto, Canada
in the 90's, and you will be able to call into the show and speak with the
Nightcrawler. You will be treated to recitations of his wisdom through
monologues, stories and poetry as only the Master can provide.

I hope that fans of the show will join us, call in and ask the Nightcrawler
questions.

Join us, and be Enlightened.

Fiction.

Subject: Does anyone recall the *original* CotK site?

One of the first sites added to the Forever Knight Website Archive in our
recent bout of uploading was the Cousins of the Knight faction site (now at
http://www.foreverknight.org/CotK/).

However, in going through sites on the Wayback Machine, I came across
*another* CotK faction site, one that had originally been at
http://www.lashersystems.com/fk. Comparing dates, I realized that it was an
earlier site. It was apparently created in 1997, updated for about a year,
and lingered on the web for about another year. Only after it had
disappeared was the second site created--I guess, to take its place.

During that time, a copy of the original site was made for the Internet
Archive. However, after the first few months, they instituted a policy of
saving only smaller files in order not to fill up too much webspace. It's
so much cheaper nowadays that it's easy to forget those days, isn't it? As
a result, though, most early websites on the Wayback Machine have few
graphics left. Often, there remain only the smallest ones, like bullets and
buttons.

This elderly CotK site was in therefore in quite a state of disarray.
Nevertheless, it had most of its pages. So I decided to see what I could do
with it. And, in fact, I have managed to locate one or two of the missing
graphics, and made a few substitutes where I couldn't find the original.

However, much of the *appearance* of a site is down to its background.
Whether this is traditional black, smooth sophisticated white, some gaudy
stock graphic supplied by the webhost, or a fancy co-ordinated webset with
matching buttons--it's your first impression, and it continues right down
the page, hitting you in the eye all the way.

I've made a *guess* as to the sort of background this original CotK site may
have had. But I may be totally wrong.

So...is there anyone out there who recalls the site?
