I haven't visited your site so I don't know if you have the JADFE archives
saved there. If not, I was the owner of the page until I lost my internet
for several years (long story) and I have all the original stories in a file
on my computer. If you want them contact me.

I thought those stories were part of the "adult" stories in the FKFIC library
in the love that can't be named. Section. Or they might have been in a pillow
book.

I've always wondered at the conversation in the editing booth when they
worked that piece of the movie. I also have a hard-time keeping a
straight-face when Nick and LaCroix are "hissing" at each other. I have
a suspicion that they would have reworked that sequence if they had had
    the time/budge to do it.

Agreed, the TV show's fangs and contact-lens were definitely enough
   "vampire".

I've always thought it was shame that they didn't push Stonetree's
apparent suspicions a little further. I think it would have been neat
to have Stonetree really aware of what Nick was...but also see the good
he was doing and quietly run interference without ever making Nick aware
    of what he knew.

I've heard that the green car was felt to film better at night.

>originality.
Originality is really only an issue if the paint is THE original paint.
If a car has ever been repainted, then what color it is becomes more an
owner preference. Whether black or green was preferable...is largely
dependent upon who is buying the car. THE caddy is owned by a member of
this list and probably could tell us if the color on the vehicle is
    factory or a repainting.

>Polka music is classic LOL.
It really does define Schanke as a different kind of guy right out of the
    box.

Ger got such MENACE into that one word....

One of the few things I think is missing in Dark Knight is Schanke's actual
crash sequence. I'm sure that they didn't do it because of money ... but I
thought it was a hoot to actually watch.

There are things in this world known only to those who are almost two
thousand years old....surviving being shiski-bobbed and lit on fire is
      one of them.
It also helps to remember the writers' room on your Christmas card list.

Yes, I know what you are talking about, and I believe that she finally posted
a copy on her website. Or, you might check AO3, since a lot of stuff has been
reposted there before websites go away.

Is it the complete one? I know that there are versions on youtube but the

was a special treat to be there live when they did it....I brought the

Thank you for making comments on my ramblings. I thought I was going to be
ignored. I'm not a very technical person, nor philosophical, mostly I react
to things emotionally. My watching and my fan writing was always on the
relationship side of the story.

I did enjoying seeing the show again and look forward to the next one. It's to
bad only a few have made comments about the two versions.

It must have been dejavu (sp?) for John to say the same dialogue to some one
else a few years later.

Subject: Send your LaCroix Speeches for Nightcrawler Night Live on "Whispers in the Dark"

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I have posted.

Thank you "List Mommy" Lisa for allowing me to post this to the group!

I have been doing my tribute to LaCroix / The Nightcrawler since 1996. We were
the folks who ran Dragon's Lair Studios and did Audio Parodies and Dramas of
Forever Knight. We even did a couple conventions and I even did the voice for
Nigel Bennett in person in 1997 (with his approval!)

Since our group disbanded in 2004, I had always wanted to do a Radio Show in
the LaCroix Voice just like he did on Forever Knight. I started a Yahoo Group
( http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/LaCroixPoems/ ) where I would record stories
and poems sent to me. Then a few years later a friend asked me to start a radio
show on Blog Talk Radio which I named "Whispers in the Dark". I was still doing
my tribute to "The Voice" but I did not want to call myself The Nightcrawler or
LaCroix because THAT is Nigel Bennett's domain, so instead I named myself
"Viktor Aurelius - the 2000 year old Vampire". I have been doing the show for
three years and thousands of people of download my episodes!
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/viktoraurelius I used to do the whole show - or
most of it in the "Voice" but that was hard on my vocal chords. LOL. I still
pre-record speeches/poems/stories that are played on my show with the Author
as my guest. You can even go to my website and listen to mp3s of my recordings
of poems, stories and lectures at
http://viktoraurelius.com/whispers-from-the-voice and watch videos of my
voice work at http://viktoraurelius.com/videos-from-the-voice . I've even
become a writer/producer and actor in MANY audio dramas. My friend Jeff Niles
and I produce several series on our website: http://the4077th.blogspot.com I
created "Lilith's Children" (where I play the 2000 year old Vampire with a
Radio show in a couple episodes) and "Victoria! Empress of the Universe" - our
Steam-Punk Sci-Fi series!

Due to the urging of friends, I decided to do an entire Tribute Episode to
Forever Knight, LaCroix and the Nightcrawler on my Radio show! And YOU can
help.

Please send me your LaCroix speeches, short stories and Lectures (Just like he
would speak on CERK Radio). They can be of any subject. I hope to record at
least 20 submitted speeches/monologues for the show. I have a couple already
from a friend in the UK, and I have a few that I wrote too.

I will do the entire 2 hour show as the Nightcrawler would. Only cutting away
to pre-recorded mp3s that are fully produced with music and FX. I will even
take calls and dispense "wisdom" as only HE would also! I hope you will call
into the show!

The date for the show is Wednesday July 17th from 9pm to 11pm Eastern US time.
I will post a reminder here closer to the actual date.

Email me directly - do not post on the list. If you have ANY questions, please
contact me by email as well. YOU will be credited for your writing and get to
hear it as if LaCroix had spoken your words! PLUS I will email you the mp3(s)
to have as well. There will be a LOT of listeners! I have been averaging 1500
downloads or more.

Contact me at : ViktorAurelius@y....... (That's my professional address for
my voice acting). If you make a mistake and reply to my personal address I will
still respond. Just PLEASE make use to put "LaCroix recording" in the Subject
so that I can know it if for the Special Episode.

Thank you!!! And if this goes well, perhaps we can do more in the future!!

Vic (aka Viktor Aurelius)

I enjoy it, its worth a look. I like it very much. I looked on Youtube
and there is a $3.99. charge showing beneath it, So that must mean they
charge to view it. I've just never seen that before.

It's to bad only a few have made comments about the two versions.

Subject: More on "Dark Knight"

Thinking a bit more about "Dark Knight", it occurred to me what a catalytic
role that Mayan exhibit had. *g*)

Nick had evidently been in Toronto for about three years, working as a cop
for a year. In that time, he clearly knew Janette was at the Raven (for how
else would he have known to look for her there). Yet it took Lacroix's
arrival in Toronto to get him to go and see her.

Of course, it was also the murder of the guard--the only one committed by
Lacroix, when he decided to get the jade cup--that persuaded Stonetree to
set Nick up with Schanke as his partner.

Lacroix, of course, only came to Toronto because he thought Nick was after
the jade cup, which had been featured in the newspaper.

And (this is the joke), Nick hadn't even noticed the exhibit was on!
