Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May.
Memorial Day is the final Monday of May

I'm not aware of any US holidays in May but you got me curious: I just done
Googling: nothing! Since the new Google changes, I'm not sure if I'm the only
one, but I can't find much of anything on a search. Is that Mother's Day?

I was just watching the Weather Channel and they are reporting on the tornado
devastation in Moore, OK. I know there is at least Knightie who lives in OK.
I can't remember if she lives near Oklahoma City or Tulsa but Katrinka if you
are reading this PLEASE check in and let us know that you are Okay!

Two schools in Moore were hit by the F5 tornado and the pictures on the WC are
showing complete destruction of many homes. Please keep these people in your
thoughts and prayers.

I agree with the idea that everyone watch an episode at their leisure, then
set a start day for discussions of that episode.

Having said that, and seeing your suggestion that we start with Dark
Knight....here's one more suggestion to throw into the mix.

What about if we watch the original Nick Knight with Rick Springfield, and
Dark Knight with Ger and do a comparison.
I don't think that is something the list ever did. Then after that, go on
with discussion the episodes.

I love the original Nick Knight and have thought about re-watching it. I
would like that.

I like it.

I think that one of the reasons Dark Knight is as good as it is is that
Perriott had a chance to re-write it, make changes and improvements. THis
might be worth a few comments.

Otto asked,

Sure! A looser schedule is better because it affords flexibility. So we
start with your proposal (#1): "Between Sat. June 1st and Fri. June 7th,
please
watch Dark Knight part 1...." Then we go on with Margie's proposal (#2):
"...and discuss it between Sat June 8th and Fri. June 14 at your leisure."

You see, that means June 8th is the only set date: the day on which
discussion *starts*.

For one thing, I know I'm not the only person who's on digest. That means
that we get all the day's posts in a single group. As a result, it is only
at that point (usually around 5 p.m. Eastern) that I can read what other
people have written. So, only then can I respond. If someone has asked a
question or said something that inspires me, then...hey, my next post will
be in the next day's digest! Along with people's response to anything that
I have written. Probably we'll be commenting back and forth for two or
three days, judging by the past.

June 8th works fine for me as a start date. So, should it be Dark Knight
Part 1? Or both parts?

My vote is for this third option.

If I have a week to watch and a week to discuss, I'll be able to
participate much more.

Proposal #3-

You could pick a day to start discussing each episode and plan to
discuss it for a week. That way, everyone could watch the episode
sometime before the start day when it's convenient for them and also
discuss it anytime during the week when it's convenient for them.

For instance, you could start the discussion for Dark Knight on June
8th, and everyone could watch it anytime before that date. You could
discuss it until June 15th, by which time, people will also have had a
chance to watch the next episode, and you could start discussing that.
Or, you might want the time between episode discussions to be two weeks,
with a week for everyone to get a chance to watch an episode and then a
week to discuss it.

... I mean if we have no given time to watch the show, and no given time
to discuss it, it's going to be rather uncoordinated and hard to keep up
when it's time to watch the next but maybe I'm missing something, hence
the purpose of this email is to figure out what you guys want. ... Or is
there a proposal #3?
