Thanks to Desiree (again!) it looks as though we have all of Mr Happy's.
Since she saved the site back in 2001, she got all those off-site sound
captures and video clips. Folding things together, we can recreate the site
as it was in its heyday.

Mind you, I've been editing and editing and...editing. When I can't bear
one site any more, I start on another. You realize that every one of Mr
Happy's "Questions of the Week" has its own page; and every one of those
pages requires the removal of assorted bits of code added by FortuneCity?
Bits to make banners at the top. Bits to make banners at the bottom. Bits
for pop-ups. (There's actually a line saying, "Give me pop-ups". You want
it taken out? *Of course* you want it taken out!)

A few of the smaller sites have already gone to Steph, along with the CotK
site. I've edited all the pages in Scarlett Burns (Volta)'s Embracing the
Knight site, though I still have to run the links between the pages to make
sure they're working right.

And I'd dearly like a little amusement. The list has been very quiet the
last few days.

Yeah and hopefully I will have them uploaded soon. I have been working
on a project for the Navy SEAL Foundation so haven't had time to get
them uploaded.

I asked you for amusement: how about telling me all about Kickstart the
Knight?

This isn't a totally idle question. There used to be an Official KtK
Website, that, as far as I can tell, peripateticated from a site owned by
Jessica Roop, off to AOL Homepage, and then to Tripod, before finally
disappearing. Bits of its various incarnations can be found on the Wayback
Machine; but, in its usual fashion, the Internet Archive never did save more
than "bits". (Well, actually, I think it has all the *pages*. However,
it's missing the flyer, and most of the back issues of the Crusader, as well
as some of the smaller graphics.)

For most of the website's existence, there was a sort of annex over on
FortuneCity. It was created, I guess, to hold the overflow. Some files
were particularly big; and websites back then were notably small; and so the
"Computer Goodies" page and the "KtK Auction" page, with their graphics,
were stored on FortuneCity and accessed through links.

I have all of the FortuneCity site, I think. Anyway, I got all the
navigation buttons, and all the pictures from the seventh auction, and all
the wallpapers. (Yes, all *eight* designs in S, M, and L sizes.) I got
them off cached pages.

Obviously we'll be putting all of this in the archive. However, unless we
can locate the PDF and pictures of the KtK flyer (and maybe even the
Crusader back issues), there doesn't seem much point in trying to recreate
the whole site.
