Nick could be vice-presidential candidate, for a law and order emphasis. :)
That would be a really interesting inauguration! They would have to hold
it at night... and what would he swear on (if not a bible)?
Having a President who could whammy would certainly speed up the passage of
legislation.

That brings up an interesting notion. Does anyone know of a fanfic
where vampires became common knowledge in the FK-verse, akin to the
True Blood or Anita Blake worlds?

Ok. What platform would he run under or slogan would he use?
A body in every pot?
Eat the rich? And everyone else, too?

I don't recall the name of the series, but there was one where werewolves
and vampires became common knowledge. Schanke was the resident werewolf!

I've still got my LaCroix for President t-shirt. I wear it to the
poll when I vote in presidential election years.

Any chance of still finding one of those?

Years ago I made my own bumper sticker. I may still have it around
somewhere, since I think I took if off that car when I traded it in.
Lacroix for President
When you're tired of choosing the lesser of two evils.
Technically LC IS eligible to run for USA president but he would need to
reveal his age (and thus probably that he is a vampire) because anyone alive
at the time the USA was founded could run for president no matter where they
were born. So LC, Nick, and other vamps could qualify.
USA Constitution:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United
States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be
eligible to the Office of President .....

I've also been noticing the lack of traffic on our beloved list.
As McLisa said:
> It's just quiet, _too_ quiet. :)
Is it that people feel "been-there-done-that"? We can't surely have
discussed *everything* to death! I know that there's a tendency, especially
over the summer, to leave it up to others to start the ball rolling, and
just read what everyone else is writing--except that no one is, so there's
no thread to respond to.
Mmm....
Over at the Wiki, I've been trying to expand our pages on some of the FK
characters. You see, I was doing pages for them on the Fan Lore Wiki; and I
realized that *our* pages have focused mostly on canon. Fan Lore, of
course, is more interested in what fans do. So I thought I'd add some fic
recommendations, especially for the supporting/guest characters.
I found myself strangely stymied to come up with them, though--largely
because Mel's archive never did get down to putting categories on things.
So maybe we could put our collective heads together?
Take Schanke. There's no FoDs website I can go to. (Otherwise, I could
just copy over the titles of the stories in their archive.) Off the top of
my head, I find it hard to come up with a list of Schanke fic, i.e. from his
POV, or about his family life, or that sort of thing.
So...(ball to get rolling)...what stories can you think of that *focus* on
Schanke?
