Subject: Fic recs
I've been filling out a "List of Characters in Forever Knight" page for
Fanlore Wiki
(http://fanlore.org/wiki/List_of_Forever_Knight_Characters);
and, knowing that they like to keep things more fan-oriented than
canon-oriented, I had a look through the FK Wiki pages to see what I
could add--at least for the minor characters, since the majors should all
eventually have their own pages there, just as they do on our own
wiki.
I was immediately struck by the fact that, when Gaylin created the outline
for the character pages in the FK Wiki, she added a section at the bottom of
each page for Fan Fiction. That's fan fic *focusing* on that particular
character--no minor point for a lot of the lesser lights, since (naturally)
we tend to write about Nick a lot. :)
For the most part, these sections are empty or nearly so. Really, they
ought to be *full* of recommended stories!
So I turn to the list....
We have so many characters that it might be best to do them one at a time.
Nick would just be overwhelming, of course. So how about Schanke? If
someone were to ask you to recommend Schanke-oriented fan fiction, what
stories would you consider essential reading?
