Subject: Re: Kristen Lehman - in AMC's The Killing She plays the campaign manager and girlfriend of the local politician who may or may not be hiding something. So she gets some pretty significant screen time. Gaelin -----Original Message----- From: Bonnie <callalily@l.......> Did anyone see the pilot for AMC's The Killing? The 2-hour pilot isre-airing on Sunday April 10 at 8pm, followed by a new 1-hour episode at 10pm.I haven't seen it yet, but Kristen Lehman is listed in the top 6 actors onthe show. I don't know how large her role is, but it's a 13 episode series... hopefully she'll get a good amount of screen time. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Apr 2011 10:28:44 -0500 From: wirickml@v....... Subject: FK DVDs I was wondering if anybody has ever hear of this announment about the FK DVD's? Aside from an announcement that the series DVDs were being re-released with the Canadian cuts of the first season and be jam packed with commentaries and bloopers of course. It was posted on Live Journal by abby82. I've never heard anything about it. It's a wounderful ideal, but I have never heard a whisper about it. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Apr 2011 11:37:13 -0400 From: "Phillips, Tim" <Tim.Phillips@s.......> Subject: Re: FK DVDs > I was wondering if anybody has ever hear of this announment about the FK DVD's? > Aside from an announcement that the series DVDs were being re-released with the >Canadian cuts of the first season and be jam packed with commentaries and bloopers I keep on eye on the TV on DVD website http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news.cfm which lists DVD releases for TV Shows. They seem to be pretty well connected to the various studios. There hasn't been any mention of a re-release there. Anything is possible, but I have serious doubt that this is true at this time. In Season One (or that hiatus before Season Two began), there were six members of the regular cast; and, as people always say, there were also six original factions. Off the top of an outsider's head, that ought to mean one faction per character. However, it doesn't work out that way. The sixth faction is the Die-Hards. This means that, right at the start, there was one regular character without his own faction: Capt. Stonetree. Now there was apparently a name suggested: Scorpions, after that story he told about the scorpion stinging the person trying to help it because it's its nature. However, as it's phrased in faction lists, "The name didn't catch on." Later on, when factions started to multiply, small factions were created for several supporting characters and guests. But it was Season Two (heading for War Three), and there'd been cast changes. So the Cohen-heads were born, along with the Mikies and Myras and Graces. In fact, even in War Two (which is pre-Season Two), there was mention of a faction for Alma. At least, in one of the first posts, there was mention of a person sending a letter claiming affiliation with Alma. Later, the name "AlmaDen" was mentioned. Curiously, it never turns up in any faction list I've seen; so I don't know if it was just a private joke. Was there ever any mention of a proposed faction for Alma on FORKNI-L? Certainly, it doesn't seem to have materialized. Anyway, by the time Wars Three and Four and Five came along, there were a number of small factions; and some of them did take part in one or more of the wars, or at least were mentioned. Ultimately, all three captains got factions. However, I do get the impression that none of them amounted to much. Did any of them have loops/lists/Yahoo!Groups? I don't recall coming across any websites. In Season Three, Reese was captain. I know his faction was called the Reese's Pieces. That is a very cute name. (Far cuter than "Stonetree-ites", which looks really uninspired.) However, my impression is that the Cohen-heads were the most *real* faction of the three--which is curious when you consider that, of the captains, she was probably the one people liked least. Given that, at the height of FK fandom (when there were quite a lot of fans), there were several smallish factions that did have sufficient popularity to have loops and lists and websites, not to mention taking part in at least one War, why didn't the Captains' factions ever take off? One or another of them appeared in every episode. Did people just find them boring?
