It's possible to purchase that type of can brand new and empty. Just FYI.
It supports the idea that Nick was playing with paint composition and the
bovine blood in his refrigerator. My idea is that he was contemplating a
mural on the wall. I always thought our chevalier's giant fortress of
solitude needed *something* to warm it up...and since Nick can fly, who
needs a ladder? ;-p But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong...

Mine's two pages with two columns on each page.

But, basically, the song that resonates the most for me
regarding Nick is Tubthumping by Chumbawamba:

I get knocked down, but I get up again,
    Nobody's gonna keep me down.

How about "Hallelujah" by Rufus Wainwright from the Shrek soundtrack?

I just got an ad from Amazon.com that they are having
a sale on several older TV series for 14.99. FK is not one
of them, unfortunately.

I checked on Amazon and E-Bay and season 1 and season 2
are each available for $20 or less, But season 3 starts off on
Amazon at $90 for a used set. Am I missing something here?

Wow, I like this topic Don!

I like your list, very 70's and 80's oriented.

Personally I always remembered the music from the Raven scenes sounding more
goth, maybe a bit industrial, but that said, if anyone is thinking "Will are
you smoking crack?", please bear in mind that it's been a while since I saw
the series and perhaps I'm imposing my own musical preferences upon what I
was hearing from the club.

If I were the Raven DJ, hmmm, this isn't a full list, but here are a few
that I can think of off the top of my head.

Figurative Theatre (Klute remix) by Christian Death (the lyrics make this
sound an awful like the vampire theatre troupe from Interview with a
Vampire)

Now I'm Feeling Zombified by Alien Sex Fiend (a bit dancier than most goth
rock, perhaps break up the all-dark theme)

Black Wizard - Allied Vision (very dark, hmmmm...to paraphrase an old friend
of mine, I think he'd say this one sounds like Gregorian chanters being
tortured by Satan)

Today I Woke to the Rain of Blood - Combichrist (more industrial than goth,
very dancy)

I Hate You - Noise Box (not very goth at all, more industrial metal, but
very dancy, very fast, very angry)

Mind Stripper - Suicide Commando (...with a shout out to LaCroix)

Love Breeds Suicide - Suicide Commando

The Dance - Xorcist

Sacrifice - Second Disease (a side project of Frontline Assembly, this
should say it all) - slow, dark, 'gothy' in an industrial sort of way (where
in hell am I coming up with these descriptions?!?!? Maybe someone actually
did slip something into my Coke at my kids' 3rd & 4th birthday party
today?!? Not crack but something weird maybe!)

Headhunter - Front 242 (dancy)

Smothered Hope - Skinny Puppy (dancy, moderate speed, just the right kind of
angst for the clientele - 'life's just up and down, everybody knows it's
wrong")

Somebody stop me!!!

Season three appears to be quickly becoming out-of-print, from an intensive
online search. Few e-tailers have the DVD set in stock, and one is required
to hunt diligently for those that may (I use The Find search tool usually
with good success).

Given the above, higher pricing for used copies in almost new to very good
condition isn't surprising. This is probably the time to snag a copy if
findable for under $50. When the collection truly goes OOP, available used
copies will only increase in asking price.

I'm surmising that Sony produced a greatly decreased print run for season
three compared to the first two. This would explain the greater availability
of seasons one and two and their respective pricing.

Alas, I have no disposable income for such a purchase right now (sigh)...

So, how many of you have made a Forever Knight playlist? Not songs
from the show (although it could include some of those) but ones that
resonate for you with some aspect of the show?

Here's mine (so far):

Louise Tucker - Midnight Blue
Alice Cooper - Roses On White Lace
Bette Midler - The Rose
It's A Beautiful Day - Girl With No Eyes
Meat Loaf - I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)
Corey Hart - Sunglasses At Night
Eric Clapton - After Midnight
Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of The Heart

How about sharing yours?

Hey y'all!

Does anybody know what Cynthia's last name was? They showed a poster... has
anyone managed to get a close enough look to see if the mock-up poster says
what it was?

Thanks,
Laura
