It's that time of year to start thinking about it. This year I'm staying in town
so it will be a welcome decor edition! Although last year many of you traveled
to Santa Barbara with me and my family for Christmas :)

What do people want as their story this year? I was thinking a
historical piece, maybe from the Renaissance, an IB story?

A new friend asked me about my "Forever Knight" license plate. She'd
never heard of FK. I've invited her to come over and watch an
episode.

Which episode should I show her and why? And no, it doesn't have to
be from season 3. <g>

Hi Y'all!

I was thinking about the card exchange this morning and how I needed to
get out the message tonight. I almost forgot. Thanks Kristen for
reminding me!

The FK Holiday Card Exchange works like this. If you want to be a part
of it, you email me your name, snail mail address, the holidays you
celebrate, any special instructions (such as no e-cards or no confetti)
and the email address you want to receive mail at. I compile the info
into a list and send it out around Thanksgiving to all participants. You
then send a holiday card to everyone or as many people on the list as you
feel comfortable. In the past, we've usually had between 30 and 40
participants. We've also had listmembers from around the world
participate. I truly enjoy getting all the cards! It makes the holidays
very special for me.

Sending me your info is your permission to put you on the list. I always
send out a confirmation message to you as soon as I put your info into
the list. I delete the list of names every year around the first of the
year.

My email is: eowyn23@j....... . Please put "Holiday Card Exchange" in
the subject line. And PLEASE make sure you put my address in the TO: line
of your email so that you don't accidentally send your personal info to
the list! Something that helps a lot is putting ALL the info asked for in
one email to me so I don't have to bug you for it later! :)

I will gather addresses until Saturday, November 21 and will send
list out on Sunday, November 22. The PO usually recommends a "send by"
date for holiday mail around the first week of December.

If there are any questions please email me at the above address.

Terri

Well, there are a lot of good episodes, lots of different favorites, many
that are iconic, and so on.
But for a good, general introduction, Dark Knight isn't bad. It has just
about everything you need to know, most of our favorite characters, a goodly
amount of humor, etc. It would give a newcomer just about all they would
need to follow the stories. Or, just pick your own personal favorite. :-)

My first episode was Only the Lonely, but that was sheer accident, because
that was what was on the night I remembered to set the VCR for the first
time. A close friend had nagged me. It did leave me with a permanent
preference for Nick and Nat as a couple.

Marilyn, if you have a favorite episode, I'd say go with that. Your
enthusiasm should be catching. Do explain in advance, though, if it's a 3rd
season show, about the changes so if she gets hooked, she won't be puzzled
as to why there's no Vachon and crew in the first two.

Only the Lonely is a good one. Can't remember if this is the one where we
see how nick and Natalie met. I like that one as it reveals their history.

I'm sad to say I will not be sending out cards and pics of the Caddy this
year. My Mom passed away very recently and it's hard right now to even
think of the Holidays. I wish every one of the FK family my very best for
the Holidays and upcoming New Year.
