WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 6th ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 00:12:29 +0000 From: Susan Bennett <nnpacker@h.......> Subject: WAR: NNPack Summary - Saturday Oct. 9 NNPack Summary Our Own Worst Enemy (1/1) Saturday October 9th - Pre-Dawn The N&Ners who attacked the Cousins and were subsequently arrested are still waiting in jail several hours after the Cousins were released. They've been unable to reach anyone at the Theatre and Soul believes that no Toronto area lawyer will help them because she's never paid the legal bills from previous wars. Soul's regret and guilt reminds Michelle of Nick and she suggests having him help. Soul refuses because she can't encourage Nick to use vampirism. Soul suddenly remembers her past as the Lonely Hearts faction leader. She calls Nat, who goes looking for Vachon to help them. Nat's a little nervous because she doesn't want to run into Screed. Nat meets Vachon and they drive to the jail. She waits in the car while Vachon uses his whammying abilities to free the N&Ners. Knightrose is concerned about the paperwork, but Soul says not to worry because the cops only have their war names, as does the company who's rental bus is now impounded. Vachon leads them to Nat, and wanders across the road in the direction of the Church. Nat tells the N&Ners that she has the clothes they lent her in her trunk. She drives them back to the Theatre. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 00:21:32 -0400 From: Greer Watson <gwatson2@r.......> Subject: WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 2nd Ah, well--better late than never. WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 2nd 1) Title: Chanda's House Author: Chanda Keith Time: just after midnight as October 1st becomes October 2nd Pursued by far too many characters from her other fandoms, all of whom want revenge for the stories she has written about them, Chanda decides to escape to Toronto and take refuge with the Die- Hards. She takes with her all 600 of her bears, and her three cats, Nicky, Janette, and Pinky. With those packed in her van, there is very little room left for her own things. She hopes, while in Toronto, to get together with other Ravenettes for some sort of memorial in honour of Susan Garrett. 2) Title: Felicitous Greetings Author: Greer Watson Time: October 2nd, late afternoon Having been persuaded that joining the Die-Hards is only subtly different from being unaffiliated, Greer goes to visit the faction's financial advisor, Feliks Twist. 3) Title: Pepperoni pizza to go Author: Greer Watson Time: October 2nd, evening (after "Felicitous Greetings" and the Knighties' "When Pizzas Attack!") Greer is checking on the Die-Hards' HQ when the Knighties' over- spiced pizzas arrive. Since she doesn't like pizza, she directs the delivery man to take them to the local women's shelter. She then goes home, where she reads a series of e-mails that have been sent by Don Fasig. He tells her that War is on, and that he is on the way from Florida. 4) Title: Sizzling Slices Author: Greer Watson Time: October 2nd, evening (after "Pepperoni pizza to go") Chanda arrives in Toronto. About to order herself some take-out, she is interrupted by the arrival of Annabel Harte, a counsellor from the women's shelter at Don Mills and Leslie. She is furious about the horrible pizza donated to the shelter, and assumes that Chanda is the one responsible. When it is finally sorted out and both learn that it was the Knighties who originally ordered the pizza, Chanda gives Annabel the address of the loft. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 00:23:27 -0400 From: Greer Watson <gwatson2@r.......> Subject: WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 3rd WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 3rd 1) Title: Sockless Sunday Author: Greer Watson Time: October 3rd, all day Greer has her usual leisurely Sunday. Since she goes barefoot round the house, or in sandals or (barefoot) in gardening boots, she has no idea that her socks have all vanished. When she gets a call from Don to say that he's finally managed to get a flight, she calls Die-Hard HQ, where she talks to Chanda. Chanda has assumed that her own missing socks had been taken by one of her cats. However, when Greer offers to lend her some, and then finds her sock drawer empty, they realize that it must be some sort of attack. 2) Title: Flying to Trinidad? Author: Don Fasig Time: October 3rd, late night Through an airline mix-up, Don has disembarked in Trinidad without his luggage. His new flight to Toronto is finally called; but he has only the clothes he's wearing. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 00:24:50 -0400 From: Greer Watson <gwatson2@r.......> Subject: WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 4rd WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 4rd 1) Title: Still No Luggage...and... Author: Don Fasig Time: October 4th, morning Having finally made it to Toronto, Don wakes up Monday morning to discover that his few clothes have all gone missing, except for the sweats he wore to bed. 2) Title: Bootless Monday Author: Greer Watson Time: October 4th, some time in the middle of the day Since Greer lives in Toronto, she commutes to Die-Hard HQ daily. On arrival, she learns that Don has lost more than just socks, and the airline still has not found his missing luggage. The three faction members discuss the situation, concluding only that Chanda's bears are probably safe from depredation, since they are noncombatants. 3) Title: Blue Monday Author: Greer Watson Time: October 4th (after "Bootless Monday") After Chanda and Greer leave to shop, Don spends time on the computer, searching for information on similar episodes of disappearing clothes. 4) Title: Socks and Locks (1/2) Author: Greer Watson Time: October 4th (after "Bootless Monday") Chanda and Greer go shopping, first to replace missing socks, and then round toy shops so Chanda can look for more bears. Greer--who lives with her elderly mother--then has to go home. Chanda returns to Die-Hard HQ, where Don tells her that he has learned that Nick Knight has also lost his socks. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 00:27:51 -0400 From: Greer Watson <gwatson2@r.......> Subject: WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 5th WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 5th 1) Title: Socks and Locks (2/2) Author: Greer Watson Time: from the evening of October 4th to the evening of October 5th (includes the time frames of "Luggage at Last!" and "Ron the Enforcer arrives (finally!)") Everyone takes the precaution of sleeping fully dressed. The following day, they start to look for answers within the extensive library holdings of the Die-Hard museum. Don decides to beef up the HQ's outmoded defences. 2) Title: Luggage at Last! Author: Don Fasig Time: October 5th, late afternoon/evening Don is delighted when his luggage finally arrives, and he can change into fresh clothes and a pair of boots. 3) Title: Ron the Enforcer Arrives (finally)! Author: Ron the Enforcer Time: October 5th, late evening/night Ron flies up from Texas and arrives at Die-Hard HQ. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 00:30:02 -0400 From: Greer Watson <gwatson2@r.......> Subject: WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 6th WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 6th 1) Title: The Price of Muffins Author: Greer Watson Time: October 6th, early morning (after the events of the Knighties' "Rene's Bakery") Don and Chanda go out for breakfast to Rene's Bakery downtown. Chanda makes an ill-advised remark about the appearance of two of the Knighties in the store, Katrinka and Gemsong. After they arrive back at Die-Hard HQ, they discover that the back of Chanda's van has been covered in "Knighties Rule!" stickers. She is not amused. 2) Title: Gone Too Far Author: Chanda Keith Time: October 6th, mid morning Chanda discovers that her cats' collars have all disappeared. She decides to buy materials to set traps around the HQ to catch the thief if he/she/it should return. She also prepares a list to drop off with security, detailing all the characters and relatives she thinks might be after her. 3) Title: Play or Not-Just-Play...*that* is the Question Author: Greer Watson Time: October 6th, morning (after the events of "Gone Too Far") Don and Greer realize that the clothing thief is not limited to attacking people who sleep at night, but also steals clothes during the day. They discuss whether there are unwritten Rules governing the conduct of wars; and Don tries to convince Greer that they may not necessarily get back the stolen clothes at the end of the war. 4) Title: Wheels a Turning Author: Teresa Stevenson Time: October 6th, afternoon Teresa arrives in Toronto, having finally learned about the war after three days without internet access. She rents herself a convertible, though she has to settle for a white Chrysler. 5) Title: Catching Up Author: Greer Watson Time: October 6th, afternoon to evening (incorporating the time frame of "Wheels a Turning") Greer and Don spend the afternoon in the museum. Don is busy on- line, making arrangements to get the HQ security updated. Mid- afternoon, Teresa arrives. 6) Title: Setting Traps Author: Chanda Keith Time: October 6th, afternoon (following "Catching Up") Chanda comes in with all the things she has bought for the traps she plans to lay around the HQ to stop and/or catch the thief. She has also bought new collars for the cats. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 07:06:09 -0400 From: Brenda Bell <webwarren@e.......> Subject: Re: WAR: Die-Hards: Summary for October 2nd At 12:21 AM 10/12/2010, Greer wrote: >...Chanda decides to escape to Toronto and take refuge with the Die- >Hards.
