Subject: On Postcards and FORKN-L postings
Hi, I don't get to come here often as I have never been able to post 'the
old way' without disasterous results. But now I've signed up for another
year, there is the wonderful advantage of being able to post via this
Listserv home page thingy.
Anyway, getting off topic a bit here. I know some of you are concerned about
the postcards being sent to you re: Ger's upcoming appearence in 'Do Not Go
Gentle' in NYC, but addresses etc were not obtained/sold/bartered in an
underhand manner, and I'm sure Marla has by now sent emails to all affected
about the subject. I am actually posting to stand as a friend for Marla and
assure the lot of you, she hasn't got a dishonest bone in her body and I am
more than very proud to call her my dear friend. I hope that reassures all
who have had concerns.
To keep this FK friendly, one wonders if Nick had ever met up with Dylan
Thomas, indeed I would think there would have been some lively discussion
between Nick and LaCroix about Thomas's work - answers in a fanfic please ;)

It's ok. As soon as we understood that the addresses came from Marla and a
list she'd kept, we stopped worrying. You're a good friend to her, and I'm
sure you'll be happy to hear that nobody thinks anything underhand happened.
In fact, if I'd received one (I wasn't on the list and couldn't get there
anyway if I had), I'd have been pleased and grateful.

Love it! IIRC, both Ger and Nigel have appeared in productions of Thomas's
works.
Maybe this fanfic could have him drinking in an earlier bat of Janette's?
