True blood / FK music (3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 27 Oct 2009 20:16:56 -0400 From: Greer Watson <gwatson2@r.......> Subject: GeoCities Let us take a moment of silence in honour of the late GeoCities, which died in the afternoon of the 27th of October, 1999. And the hundreds of thousands of innocent websites that died with it. And the owners of those websites, many of whom had not backed up their sites and had no idea how to save copies of their pages. And those who tried, but found that Yahoo!'s directions didn't work, because their browser wouldn't save pages with frames. And those who succeeded, but found that the pages that resulted still had empty side-frames for the Yahoo! ads. And, all too often, are finding that there is now no way to get from one page to another, now that the GeoCities servers are off-line. And that the images don't show up on the pages, either. But let us also honour those techies who, even though it was announced that GeoCities would close on the 26th, did not shut it down at midnight on Sunday but busied themselves with so many things that it was actually Tuesday afternoon before things stopped. Thereby allowing the saving of so many last-minute things. A moment of silence, please. ------- And now, in order to make this FK-relevant, let me remind folks that a lot of Forever Knight websites have been moved to the archive, and many more are safely stowed on my computer (and backed up on a flashdrive), awaiting my attention. The story content is better than I first thought. I bought the 1st season after a friend convinced me to try watching it again. It's definitely much edgier. I will keep an ear out for the music now :) Jeannie I watched the first episode and was totally turned off. FK would never be so crude. FK is a class act. Also is anyone getting FK coming up on their schedule guide on Brighthouse I also have DirectTV and they don't show anything for FK. Is Brighthouse dropping the ball? KnightWitch ;-]= CaddyWhacker, first and foremost. AND NOW I CAN PROVE IT!!!!!!!! We need your help. Please go to _www.ForeverKnight.US/chiller.html_ (http://www.foreverknight.us/chiller.html) and sign the petition to get more FK on the Chiller Channel. I have been enjoying the FK episodes on Chiller. Jeannie I have Chiller on BrightHouse but the service has not been as reliable as DirectTV. And the fact that BrightHouse keeps teasing me with FK on their Chiller Channel schedule and not showing it as stated, says something about them. So far DirectTV has had FK on when they say it will be on. I would, like everyone else, really like to see the complete three seasons of FK on any channel. I think we would get a lot of new fans on board if we could just get it regularly scheduled. KnightWitch ;-]= CaddyWhacker, first and foremost. AND NOW I CAN PROVE IT!!!!!!!! We need your help.
