For fans of the "first Nick Knight", I have to recommend a set of zines:
L.A. Knights 1&2. They are Nick Knight/Starsky & Hutch crossovers, and the
scene where Nick and Hutch are trying to teach Starsky to fly is worth the
price of addmission. I'm told there are a couple of sequels in the works as
well.
Most people have minds like concrete: mixed up or permanently set.

It turns out that she had Rick Springfield(the first Nick Knight in the
1989 TV movie) on as a guest.

I was jsut watching the original Nick Knight movie with Rick Springfield.
He's just talked with Alyce about the mystical cup and is working his way
through the reporters again, and he says:

Why don't you go home and watch David Letterman? I got work to do.

Who knew, that Perriott was prescient? ;->>>

I am not sure I understand your comment.
Letterman was on the air in the early 1980s...during the time that the
original FK was written and aired.
Having Nick reference Letterman was not prescient....it was a show that
folks who followed late night television would have known about.

It was because of Letterman that FK later lost its "Crimetime after
Primetime" spot.
