Know this is late...
I also have a copy...I mean I don't have a copy (!), and I think it is a
great novel. If I did have a copy, it would have been one of the last ones,
that got beat-up to hell somehow and so came to me at a discount.
You know, just a year ago or so, I saw one of the "professionally" published
novels on the shelf at...Borders? Or maybe B&N. The sight made me feel all
warm and happy inside. :o)

When I first saw this episode some years ago I suspected that Bruce killed
the woman in the beginning and was surprised to find the truth.
LaCroix: "Traitors die" sounded like he has been physically very near and
actually heard Nick's talkings to Giraud. But Nick's has not sensed him, so
LaCroix must have means to cover himself quite effectively.
I liked Tracy's comment in the end about the use of excessive force and calling
it murder.
Yes, it is strange to watch these episodes when it is not dark.
