I've been asked if the list is up and running, twice now. Hello? Is this thing on? :) Have the Enforcers found everyone but me? <g> For those of us in range of North American television, have you noticed the commercial with all those hamsters running in their little wheels as though they were driving cars? Every time I see it, I'm reminded of the list-hampsters. For those of you who've joined us since the end of the show's network run, that's not a typo. For the final episode, two of the writers came up with a gag set of changed scenes for the script. In this the man who wouldn't go back became a kangaroo. The hospital scene included a nurse who was a "hampster," spelled that way. So we decided that the reason the listserv sometimes ran slow or did weird things was because it was powered by "list-hampsters" running in their little wheels. My favorite part of the gag script was this: The kanagaroo is holed up in the locker room, insisting that he won't go back. The captain is about to authorize force to capture him. Nick intervenes. Nick: I can talk to the kangaroo. I know his case. I've arrested him. Drunk and disorderly. Captain: You or the kangaroo? Nick: Both. I'm finishing up two grant applications at work so I probably shouldn't be playing with my email but hey it's almost lunchtime. I remember that someone put some of the quotes from the gag script online. I was looking for it a few weeks ago. I was making quote icons for livejournal and while I had a few short quotes from the series I wanted some from the gag script. I remember there was one in which LaCroix or maybe it was Nick asked the other about the capital of North Dakota. Bismarck is just so random but then again so is a kangaroo. --Roxy ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 May 2009 12:26:40 EDT From: LthePoet@a....... Subject: Re: Admin: Where is everybody? Ah, yes, I remember the list-hampsters and the funny Last Knight script (I think I have a copy around here somewhere). Does that make me old? Lisa K. _LthePoet@a......._ (mailto:LthePoet@a.......) BTW, why did the episode discussions stop? I have to admit that I've been "negligent" there. I had been leading the 2008 virtual Syndication...but got side-tracked by my best friend building a house and needing a lot of help with the construction. I'm weeks behind on watching current television shows that I've taped because I'm tiling or doing drywall or siding or....so the time to watch my DVDs has been very sparse. Where were we anyway...page,page,page....good gravy...it was back in October that I stopped that. Yeah...makes sense...that was when we had to get going to get ahead of the contractors doing the brunt of the work. And the episode we were about to do is one of my personal favorites. A More Permanent Hell. OK...in for a penny...in for a pound. May 19th, 2009 is the next date. Season 2 episode A More Permanent Hell is the episode up.
