Subject: PRAYER - My mom (update)
She's in the new Cancer Treatment Center of America in Goodyear, but
the will have to put in a stomach feeding tube because she has lost
so much weight that she couldn't survive chemo right now. Her
radiation is done for now - not sure if/when she gets more. If
anything please pray that she regains strength and gains enough for
chemo.

I'd like to second that thanks. My own Christmas was quite dismal; a
severe snowstorm in Seattle canceled my family's visit and I was
house-bound for five days straight. Between that and the economy (I'm
unemployed), the cards I received during the season were truly the
highlight of my holiday season.

Subject: FK S1 and SGAtlantis
I've been dealing with a *horrendous* headcold since just after New
Year's Eve, and since I've been bed-bound, I've been rewatching my FK
DVD's, particularly Season 1.
Last night, I was watching "Dead Air" and saw David Hewlett as the
killer. He is one of my very favorite characters on SG Atlantis (Dr.
Rodney McKay). He looked so young!
Then I was watching "Hunters" and saw Rachel Luttrell (Tayla on SGA);
I actually recognized her voice before I realized it was her.
I don't know who else has followed Atlantis over the last few years;
this Friday is its series finale. One notable character several
seasons ago was played by Clare Rankin, the actress who played Fleur.
It is interesting to see her now; she had blonde hair and blue eyes
in SGA, and I thought physically she looked even more like Ger did,
especially now that she is older. (Link below to a screen shot from

It seems that a lot of the actors that were in FK that are still in
the biz and have migrated to Vancouver. (I live about three hours
south of Vancouver BC and have toyed with the idea of moving there; I
interviewed a couple of years ago and would have if not for a company
restructure, darn!)

Subject: FK Google alert results
So last year (the end of 2007) I set up a Google Alert for postings
mentioning "Forever Knight". The alerts act as robots, crawling the
web looking for the delineated term and then sending an alert in the
form of an email to the email address specified. (I started using
then to track my own web footprint via my name.)
So, in a 13 month period, I received over 750 *individual and unique*
alerts. Most of them were from blogs, LiveJournal, etc. But every now
and then one has popped across that is a bit more interesting, like
the one I got yesterday:

It's no wonder FK was listed in the top 25 cult series favorites of
all time by TV Guide :)
(PS, yes I still have all the alerts in an email folder, and no I
haven't followed every single one.)

Subject: The Forever Knight Wiki
All,
I wanted to invite some of you to join the Forever Knight Wiki that I
set up many months back on Wikia.com. There's some good information
about a wide variety of topics on the show but to date it's largely
been me and Greer Watson editing various pages. I'd like to see more
of the addicts...er, members of the Forever Knight community involved.
We're especially working hard to ensure that fan fiction authors have
a place to enter information about their stories to ensure the history
of those don't get lost in the ether.
If you're interested in helping out or just checking around the wiki,

editors can only improve the wiki and we'd love to have you there as
