Subject: Prayer - Update on My Mom
Mom's stable for now, but it looks like her glucose/blood sugars is
way weird. She might be turning diabetic instead of hypoglycemic,
which is what she and I have. She had two IVs when I was there, and
her temperature was steady at normal. She's regained some right arm
movement and can make a loose fist (mom was originally admitted for
right side weakness).
The neurosurgeon came in while I was there, to discuss treatment
options. They're only going to do radiation and chemo, no surgery,
which actually really makes me mad. I mean, that's it? That's all
they're gonna do? What about other things?
I want to get her into some drug trials or something.
Dad called, and he talked to mom for a little. I talked to him too,
but I went out of the room, because I was starting to cry. He said to
keep being strong for her and that he was trying to get someone to
get him out here. He had spinal cancer and is still in NY :(
Thank you all for the words of comfort and your prayers. Please
continue to keep my mom in your prayers and pray that some new
treatment makes its way into her treatment plan. I'll keep everyone
updated. Thank you all so much.
