Subject: Stories by vampwrtr questions and help
Thanks to the brief discussion that occured earlier on the list I
decided to check out the work of vampwrtr. I've enjoyed them greatly
but while reading "Soul of the Knight" I discovered that the copy
housed at fkfanfic ends with section 7 of 8. Would it be possible for
a kind soul out there to send me a complete copy of that story or
perhaps point me in the direction of a complete version online? His
site is no longer accessible through the wayback machine and fkvoyage
doesn't have that story.
Also, while reading his stories I've discovered that many of them are
meant to be read in a certain order but while reading through what
fkfanfic has I'm wondering if there are some missing. For example the
story "New Balance" brings to a resolution the conflict concerning
Nick and Nat but I can't seem to pinpoint any of the stories
available as having taken place immediately after. I can tell that
"The Sandpiper" occurs after it but is there a story that should be
read in between?
And I'm also wondering if there's a story that should be read before
"Eternal Duplicity". In it Nick confronts LaCroix on what he did to
Natalie on Halloween but I couldn't find the story where Nick finds
out what Natalie believed happened. LaCroix also mentioned Natalie
being quite upset with Nick but other than the stories between "Your
Truth or Mine?" and "New Balance", I didn't run across any stories in
which Natalie is upset with Nick.
If anyone can shed some light on my questions I would greatly appreciate it.

I have seen many cut, spliced and oddly dubbed versions episodes of FK thru
the years.
And because I did not come into the fandom until right before Season 2
started I don't know
which were US aired, Canadian Aired or German aired. I do remember seeing a
copy of the
first couple of episodes where in the flash back of them bringing Nick
across Deb D's dress
is barely opaque and left less to the imagination than was usually seen on
CBS at that time.
Was that in all of the aired versions?

There are still quite a few factions represented with pages that are
still up and running. However, I don't know if all these pages are
still being updated, or if some are essentially abandoned. It would
appear that all the pages I had linked to anything to do with the
Nick-and-Natpack are all defunct and gone and I don't have any links
for the Natpack or Cousins either, but here is a list of the factions
who do still have pages up, whether or not they're maintained:

Thanks to Abby, the episode guide is getting real information entered into it!
Huzzah!
I finished all but two of the templates, so if you look in the help
instructions in our FK area, you will see detailed instructions on
how to add yourself as a fan, a fanzine, a fanfic archive, a website,
a convention, a fanclub - lovely FK things.
Also, the character templates are up - so we need people to enter
character information. The actor pages are up as well and those need
filling. Plus the pairings are up - those could do with some info.
The terminology section also has a template now - we could use some
backfill on Fk series terms like 'carouche,'' 'master,' and 'brought
across' - among others. And fannish references like 'brick' and such.
We now have over 200 entries in Forever Knight fans, which I think is
pretty darn phenomenal!

I'll try to work on the images and stories templates over the next
few days. I really would like to spend some time entering in more of
the ForKin-L and FKFic-L history.
Does anyone think we need to have a faction category with the
factions as subcategories so we can have a main faction page and then
people can list themselves as faction fans?
Also, the wiki has some lovely user boxes that you can use to make
templates - they're like tiny website badges in which you can declare
an affiliation or make a link to something. I still have the badge
graphics from the factions - would anyone be interested in seeing
graphic badges for factions or for the different wars (like an "I
survied War x', type of thing)?

The Fiendish Glow is still up, but is pretty much static at this
point. It was a War-universe joint venture between the Celtic Glow
Worms and the Tequila Fiends. CGW still has a Yahoo list, but it has
been very quiet; I can't vouch for the TF side of the equation. We
did not participate as a separate group in War 11, and Real Life has
pretty much taken many of us away from FK fannish interaction.
I'm pretty sure the Celtic Glow Worms' main faction page has
disappeared; I'm not sure about the Tequila Fiends.
I'm also fairly certain that the Pit of Condemned Bimbos Survivalists
(PoCBS) and the Unnamed Alliance (Nick/Nat/Janette) have disappeared
due to inactivity...
The Vampbear, however, is still undead, well, and "looking for pretty
necks to chomp"...

Many of the factions seem to have died off, but if anyone knows of a
website that's still up, even if it hasn't been updated in ages, I'd
like to know about it. :-)

Another thing I noticed as I went through checking to make sure my
links were valid: Many of the Fan Club sites seem to have disappeared
too. I currently have sites only for Ger, Lisa Ryder, and Fred
Mollin. Anyone know what happened to the pages for Nigel and Deb? Was
there ever one for Catherine?
