Well, if Nick doesn't clean it himself, perhaps he just leans out the window
 and whistles a happy tune
and all the little night critters of Toronto (rats, mice, cockroaches, bats)
 come running to help!
That's why his coffee is under the sink. They don't know any better.

Don't forget Screed....

At least if he was the housecleaner, there wouldn't be a rodent problem.

Cheap, too.

Clean my house and you can have all the rats you can catch.

For those of you that have voted, I thank you and am sorry for the constant
request for your adding your name to our petition. But we need to keep
requesting others to help us get FK on Chiller channel. I've been
collecting sigs
on a written petition form at car shows while I display the Caddy. I've
got over 100 so far. We need to beat these numbers and get more sig on the
online petition. So PLEASE, PLEASE sign on and add your name to the list.
Also
get your other on line friends to sign too. We've brought back FK to the
aire waves twice before. Let set a television record and do it again for a
third time. Thanks for all your help and patience.

And here I thought that the elves from the shoemaker tale were making a little
 extra cash on the side!

 COSTUMER'S EDITION

I'm forwarding this newsletter with McLisa's blessings. Some of us have done
this convention in the past, but this is the first time in many years they've
 done vampire stuff.

Most people have minds like concrete: mixed up or permanently set.

Attention Costumers: The popular $15 Costumer's Trial Membership is
available again for Polaris 22! If your interests are costuming and
panels check it out.

If you come to Polaris 22 wearing your favourite costume, then for just
$15 cash per day, you can have access to all Discussion Panels (including
the Saturday & Sunday Creative Costumers Convention), the Dealers Room,
Video Room, Charity Auction, Hospitality Suite, Art Show, the Friday night
"Step Into Darkness" Victorian Vampire Reception, and the Saturday Night
Dance.

Holders of this membership are also entitled to enter the Saturday evening
Masquerade as an active participant (Sorry, due to limited seating

Main Room masquerade audience seating).

Other areas of the convention that are NOT included with this level of
membership are: The Main Room (including guest Q&As), Autographs, Guest
Photos, and any specially membership events such as the Blastoff Party or
Workshops.

Costumer's Trial Memberships are sold at-the-door only, for $15Cdn cash.
Participants must arrive at the Registration Desk either in costume or
with a costume. For costumes that may not be self-evident, such as
costumes that are made up of street clothing, we recommend you bring a
reference photo.

-------------------------------------------------------

2. TWO NEW FEATURES FOR THE POLARIS 22 MASQUERADE

Once again, Polaris brings you The Masquerade! Costumers of all calibres
will enter to amaze, delight, and compete for honours in various
categories and skill levels.

New features to our masquerade this year:

1) There will be a special prize trophy awarded for the Best Vampire
Inspired Costume in the Show. Get those fangs out now!

2) Historical costumes are now eligible for awards, and no Science
Fiction/Fantasy tie-in theme is necessary. They will be judged in the
regular divisions and be eligible for Workmanship Awards, Best in Division
and Best in Show Awards. Our judges will give out awards based on the
merits of historical costumes in their designated division, with no
specific historical awards allocated in advance.

-------------------------------------------------------

3. SPECIAL COSTUMING EVENTS THIS YEAR PART ONE: THE CREATIVE COSTUMERS
CONVENTION

The Creative Costumers Convention will be a special event at Polaris this
year, offering costuming-themed programming on both Saturday and Sunday.
Topics will include SF/F, Anime and Historical costume. Special panel
guest speakers will be announced when confirmed.

For each panel you attend in the costume programming room, you will
receive a door prize ticket. The door prizes will be drawn at 5:00 pm on
Saturday and Sunday. The prizes will include The Dressmaker II a mini
sewing machine and kit, and The Marie Antoinette Gift Basket which
includes historical theme items such as DVDs and books.

The Creative Costumers Convention will also feature displays of costumes
on view in the Plaza Foyer, including 18th century inspired SF/F costumes,
and Vampire-themed costumes. Special exhibits of props and sets will also
be displayed.

-------------------------------------------------------

4. SPECIAL COSTUMING EVENTS THIS YEAR PART TWO: "STEP INTO DARKNESS - A
VAMPIRE EVENT"

"Step Into Darkness" will be a theme Polaris Event featuring panels on
vampire inspired topics, displays of costumes and props, and the
"Victorian Vampire Reception" on Friday evening.

The "Victorian Vampire Reception" will be a Vampire costume party that
will begin on Friday evening at 10:00 PM. Vampires from all time periods
and genres are welcome, or just wear black and come and party. Don't
forget vampires need victims too!

The fun includes dancing, special contests and prizes, a costume contest,
and the crowning of The King & Queen of the Undead. Play The Blood Type
Game "Are You My Type..." and meet new friends and win prizes.

Not a costumer? Don't worry! Rental and purchased costumes will also be
judged for prizes in their own group, separate from the contestant-made
costumes.

Our Plaza Foyer costume display will feature a section of Vampire themes.
There will be a photo background set-up for Vampires and mortals to take
their own photos in a spooky setting. Dress in your best black and pose
in a coffin or behind tombstones.

We look forward to seeing you there!
