Hi All,
I had a "sort of" Forever Knight moment a few days ago. I live in Madison
Wisconsin and we have been bombarded with snow this season. We have already
broken the snowfall record for our city and it is only mid February! The thing
that goes hand in hand with heavy snows is roof damage, which my home has lots
off. Anyway, a few days ago we got yet another snowfall and I was out
shoveling early in the morning. It was dark when I started and the sun rose
while I was out there. When it got more light I looked up at the roof to see
if it needed to be roof raked and the icicles hanging down from edges of the
roof were all blood red. Truly, it looked like my roof had sprouted vampire
fangs. It was really cool and yet really creepy at the same time. My brother
reassured me that the vampire icicles are due to a chemical sealer that was
put on the roof as a temporary patch. But I can't help thinking that if this
happened in the FK universe somebody would be getting reprimanded by the
enforcers for sloppy "table manners" when dining on rooftops. If anybody wants
to use this element for a fan fic, feel free.
