In the course of the ad they mentioned that you can even get an "All Polka" radio station on HD. I can't help thinking that could be the premise of a fun piece of fan fic. Nick's love of all the high tech electronic toys leads him to buy an HD radio for the Caddy and then Schanke tunes it into a polka station where it gets stuck.... I don't have the time to write it so if anybody likes the idea take it and run! Lori ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Aug 2007 01:31:08 EDT From: KnghtWtch@a....... While on the subject of polkas....does anyone know the name of the polka Schanke was playing in the Caddy in 'Dark Knight"? I've had several people of late recognize the car at car shows and would love to have the polka playing in addition to the clips of the Caddy in the show. I think FK fans seeing the car would get an additional kick out of it. KnightWitch ;-]= ForeverKnight diehard, but first and formost a CaddyWhacker. And now I can prove it!!!!!!!! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Aug 2007 10:09:18 +0100 From: Lorin <vachesang@1.......> Subject: Re: Polka radio on HD KnghtWtchAOL.COM wrote: > Cute idea. No idea, but I had a memorable FK moment a couple of years ago at one of the local Wine Festivals in Germany. After a long day wandering round the various displays and stalls (and imbibing some local vintages!) my hubby and I took a break inside a crowded wine tent where some musicians had struck up an impromptu performance (they were a few members of a band that had played earlier). They played several tunes I didn't recognize, followed by one that I DID though I couldn't for the life of me figure out where from. Suddenly it hit me, and I jumped up and yelled - loudly - "Oh my god it's the polka from the caddy!" Cue awful off-key sounds of musicians juddering to a halt, followed by complete and utter silence while every eye turned my way... My hubby just quietly stood up and left the tent. Polka", which would certainly fit will with Schanke's Polish roots. Anyone have a different take on it? I think they are required to credit music used. ------------------------------ End of FORKNI-L Digest - 8 Aug 2007 to 9 Aug 2007 (#2007-27) ************************************************************
