Hi! We're heading to T.O. for a work event in August,
and I was doing some research on the city calendar and
this popped up:

Humber Arboretum Nature Camps
Humber Arboretum
Jul 16 2007 - Aug 31 2007
This summer, give your child the opportunity to
develop a lasting appreciation for the natural
environment.

I wonder if the ghost of Roger Jameson will be hanging
around? :)

My question is, why the emphasis on the color *pink*.
Not red, but baby pink.

I like some parts of this, but it is way too cheesy
for it to be one of my favorites. I do like the
reference to the french fries which is a nice tie in
with "Feeding the Beast".

Rebecca's character is nicely jaded, and I do like the
fact that Nick doesn't try )at least on screen) to
tell her that, "Oh yes, I know what you are talking
about".

But I think the writers try way too hard to tie
Rebecca's fame into the whole immortality line. It's
too blatant.

And I may be wrong, but I seem to remember a couple of
extra scenes in the TV show that are on the DVD, which
is rather odd. I saw it originally on the Sci Fi
channel about four years ago. Anyone else have that
experience?

Subject: Canada-check a fic?

I finished drafting a new story about two weeks ago, and while my
beta-reader is getting back to me, I wondered if a
north-of-the-border listmember might be interested in Canada-checking
the piece? (The friend who often spots my US-isms is not available
this time.) The story is 5,481 words/32K TXT, from Natalie's
perspective, PG, and set in 2012.

Contacting/copying me off-list is best, since I'm set "digest."

Thanks!

The Humber is one of the main rivers running through Toronto, When you drive
through Toronto, the name might pop up a lot.

I believe the Sci Fi versions were edited for time so it is entirely possible
that there's scenes on the DVDs that weren't in the Sci Fi aired versions.

I can tell you that SciFi does edit out scenes from SG-1 to put in more
commercials, so I imagine they do that to FK as well.

Yes, but what I am saying is that I remember *more*
content from the TV, not less. That is why I find it
odd, and am blaming it on my memory.

I'm writing a biography, sort of, of Nicholas Knight, or Nicholas De
Brabant. I thought that where some of us are writer's it would be fun to
add your favorite tales to it, my company will put it together and everyone
will get a copy. I started it from birth and working on his night with
Janette and meeting Lucien for the first time.

That sounds really great, Cheryl.

I'm a bit otherwise occupied lately (hence I haven't really been on
here) but I can't wait to see the finished product.

Why is Nick so prone to elaborate daydreams in this ep, anyway? At
times I did find them amusing, but at other times, it almost seemed like
they were filler, trying to fill time in a story that didn't have enough
depth. Usually it's Brooding Nick scenes that act as time-fillers, though,
so I guess Daydreaming Nick is at least a bit more entertaining than that. .
