I swear he was drunk/high, and it was apparent that he really did not want to be there. Kept disappearing offstage... The performance was so perfunctory, it really was a disappointment. Maybe because it was a "free" show for the fans, and he wasn't getting paid as much? This was right when his "shock/denial/anger/acceptance" cd came out back in 2004. I found the situation weird, because not long before that, we paid to see him perform at Joe's Bar on Weed St. in Chicago, and it was AWESOME! We were right up front, and when he did "Human Touch," he was reaching out into the crowd, and I got "Rick sweat" on my hands when I groped his arm. ;-) Nothing like a bunch of 30-somethings (OK, now I'm a 40-something) going wild and screaming at a 50-something year-old rocker. Just checked his website (rickspringfield.com) and there's a "Live in Rockford" DVD.... hmm... might have to pick that up. (Filmed out in Rockford, IL.) Anyway, just thought I'd share that, and I hope the A.H. concert will be great! Unfortunately, I can't make it down there -- I'll be in motorcycle class! Oh, and Hi, everyone... I know I've been MIA for ages, haven't posted in heaven knows how long, but just so busy with the kids and family and work... you all know how it goes. I see the messages, read them when I can, but just can't keep up with it all. -Carla (aka Copper) On 6/5/07, Fkvampire@a....... wrote: > > For the fans who like rick springfield for his music, he will performing > at > Frontier days, Arlington heights, Il on July 7th. Does anyone have the link to one of the trivia/canon sites that discusses the rationale behind the June date?
