LOL! If you click on the name, it takes you to a list of books done by
'Nicholas Knight'... "Blow Pipe Analysis" in 1922? "A Course in Quantitative
Chemical Analysis" in 1915? Our Nicky's been a busy boy...

1) There were a bunch of great one-liners in this one
Schanke: "nosebleed section of stonetree's goldenboy list"
Nick: "Myra" (to Schanke after he oogles a stripper walking past)
Schanke: "Highheel puncture marks on your tongue" (to Nick after he
interviews Ann)
Schanke to Nick in the loft: "why do you have so many remotes here?"
Nick: "Sometimes you get more than you bargained for"

2) watching again how Nick got turned...I guess I've got to sum it up as
The Worst Case of MorningAfter Regret I've Ever Seen.
He was drunk and just wanted the girl.
He ended up an accursed creature of the night and bound to
LaCroix.
(I know it is more complex than that, he was clearly jaded and
selfdestructive to boot...but man what a price to pay for thinking with
the wrong head).

3) I loved the look Natalie gives Nick when he tells her "Bye Hon" and
kisses her.

4) the scene where Schanke and Nick are talking about the power that
women have over them was good.
I liked that Nick pointed out that they "can't blame women for our dark
sides" and admits that women are a trigger that releases his dark side.

That itself is an interesting line.
Again and again in the series you are shown the grief that being
a vampire has brought Nick with his relationships with assorted women.
Is it any wonder that he generally prefers to keep Nate at
arm's-distance so she doesn't get too close and harmed?

5) Why does Natalie look stricken that Nick thinks he's found the source
of the lipstick when he starts to work on Ann Foley? She's acting like
Ann is a competitor for Nick's romantic intentions. I know the actors
were playing a subtext on their own...but would Nate really be jealous
of a woman Nick is trying to put in jail???

6) I like the way the flying is done in this episode (implied more than
anything). Simple and works well. Looks a lot better than the few
times they hung Nick from wires.

7) There is something in Ann Foley's smile when she goes into her
apartment and finds Nick there that reminds me of Janette. I'm not sure
what is was...but there is a definite flash of her.

8) did someone on FK's writing staff have a polka obession? Or is it a
coincidence that Schanke listens to polka and Stonetree plays polka
accordian.....
