From: "Amy R." <akr@l.......>
Subject: Inca Archaeology

My subscription copy of the March/April issue of _Archaeology_
magazine arrived this week packaged in plastic with a fold-out poster
insert titled "Peru's Archaeological Legacy: Land of the Inkas." It
has a map of major archaeological discoveries on the front, and 1-4
paragraphs about each on the back. If you're a fan of our Inca
character ("The Black Buddha"), or are otherwise making use of South
American archaeology -- Altun Kinal ("Dark Knight") is in Guatemala,
but Nick could have dug or visited elsewhere as well -- and would
like my insert, email me your snail-mail address, and you're welcome
to it. I have only the one copy, though; anyone else would have to
look on newsstands.

Regarding the spelling issue, the poster uses "Inka" only in
the decorative title. In the small-print details on the back, it
uses "Inca." I gather both are deemed valid in different academic
circles, much like "Celt" and "Kelt."

P.S. Thank you very much to everyone who recommended CotK
links last week for the person who wrote to me; I passed them all
on. And thank you equally to those who recommended Tracy-at-the-Loft
stories for me; I will read them.
