Subject: FK Moment - kind of....
I have been watching the BBC show "Torchwood" (a spin off of Dr Who)
and I kept thinking about FK for a couple of reasons...
First... it is filmed in Cardiff (as many UK shows are because it is
cheaper) Ususally Cardiff stands in for London or another city, but
in Torchwood, it plays itself (thus able to use recognizable
locations such as Millennium Square as a major set point in the
show). Kind of like Toronto being Toronto in FK... kinda cool.
Then, since it is filmed in Wales and has many local actors (the lead
is American funny enough) I am hearing a lot of the Welsh accent. I
had always thought Ger's accent had been diluted more, but it hasn't.
It is definitely a really cool combination of Welsh and Canadian.
The Canadian has kind of replaced the British part.
Well, enough rambling for now.
I just thought it was cool.
