Subject: Re: Yuletide Awards tigrlady2u@j....... writes: Honestly, although I'm disappointed, I'm somehow not surprised. It seems as if the FK fandom, as far as fanfic goes, is waning. I've had to deal with an illness during the summer, and I took a nasty fall back in late Oct. which had me away from the computer until the week before Thanksgiving. I'm OK now, thank goodness. Through it all, I'm still writing, but as I keep writing, fanfic is on the back burner while non-fanfic stories are coming to the forefront. I suppose this is a natural progression as other possibilities and ideas capture the imagination, and this may be one of the reasons why FK fanfic seems to be waning, along with all the other things, like work, family and health.. KC has done a wonderful job hosting the Yuletide Awards, and I congratulate her for a job well done. Have a Happy and Safe 2007!!! De-lurking to say: I looked on youtube, thinking for sure someone would have posted the famous NB/JK reading of "Green Eggs and Ham," but I could not find it. I realize the video was made on VHS, but I'd think someone would have some way of converting it to digital, yes? (I don't know a whole lot abt technology, but from what I do...) I would love to see that one again. Would it be a whole lot of work? Do others share my interest? chris ;? "I don't bite.... It was a wonderful example of the kind of comedy where nothing risque was said but the audience, being adults, fell into the aisles laughing. :) McLisa mclisa@m....... ------------------------------ End of FORKNI-L Digest - 29 Dec 2006 to 30 Dec 2006 (#2006-91) **************************************************************
