Subject: Holiday Card Exchange 2006
Hi Y'all!
It's that time of year again! Is there any interest in doing the FK
Holiday Card Exchange this year? I've gathered the addresses and sent
out the list for the past couple of years and I'm willing to do it again
if there is enough interest.
If you would like to participate in the card exchange I will need the
following information:
Your name
Your snail mail address
Your email address
The holidays you celebrate
Send the above information to me, eowyn23@j......., and I'll put you on
the list. Please make sure you send the info to me and not to the list.
As I've said in years past, the list will only go to the card exchange
participants and the address file will be deleted when the holidays are
over. I haven't set a closing date for address gathering yet...I still
have to check on the PO's recommended mailing schedule but I usually send
the list out right after Thanksgiving. Also, who you choose to send
cards to is up to you. It was suggested in past years that if you can't
send paper cards, you could send e-cards. That is also your choice. If
you would rather not receive e-cards, just let me know when you send your
information and I'll include it when I send out the list.
Please consider participating in the card exchange. It has made my
holidays much brighter to receive cards from all over the world. Thanks
to all who have participated in the past! And big thanks to McLisa and
Don for making and keeping our lists such a wonderful, close "family" and
allowing me to do this.

Subject: Good Site for FK Quotes?
It appears that the CERK radio archives are gone. That site was the number one
place, where I found great FK quotes.
Is there another good alternative?

Subject: Holiday Card Exchange
Hi Y'all!
I checked US Postal Service website and we've pretty much missed the
"mail by" dates for surface mail to Australia/New Zealand (Oct. 30) and
Europe (Nov. 6). The date for Global Airmail for Letters and Cards to
Europe, Asia, Pacific Rim, Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Caribbean and
Mexico is Dec. 11. Cards and letters to Africa or Central and South
America need to be mailed by Dec. 4. So, to give everyone at least 2
weeks to get their cards ready, I will need your FK Holiday Card Exchange
info by 6 p.m on Nov. 25. I will mail out the participant list that
evening. That'll give everyone about 2 weeks +2 weekends to get their
cards written and sent out before the Dec. 11 date.
In the past 2 years, we've had approximately 35-45 participants if you
want to start shopping for cards.
