First _I_ have to apologize. I hope this story was posted during one of my recent absences from Fkfic-l because I don't remember it. I'm sorry, Ith. Apology accepted. <>We have a rule against film crossovers?!? Okay, that one went right past >me. I know we have a rule against book crossovers, but when were movies >added? > > Here's the rule, number 3 on the Fkfic-l list. 3. FK may be crossed only with other television shows. It can not be crossed with other shows which are based on print-published media including comics. Crossovers must have the subject header xover: at the beginning of the subject line. It has to be spelled that way because the listserv doesn't recognize 'crossover," and it MUST have the colon. Crossovers must state which show FK is being crossed with. We added this several years ago because there have been instances of movie copyright holders suing fanfic authors. Disney doesn't seem to have noticed us :), which is just as well. They once prosecuted a grandmother for unauthorized use of some of their characters in knitting for her grandchildren. At least that's what I've been told. If it's not true, I'll be glad to hear it. However, I remember when they did prosecute a nursery school in Florida for using Disney characters in a wall mural. McLisa, who has recovered from her attack of amnesia as to Amanda Cohen's given name. mclisa@m........ So I shouldn't be posting my fic to the fic list ever again for the most part. Most of my stories are crossed with Highlander and Star Trek, both which have been movies. So I've been posting illegal fic for years and never knew it. Adding Jack Sparrow was just icing on the cake, so to speak. Since I won't be able to post to FKfic anymore, if anyone is interested in still reading it, I post everything on my Live Journal, and eventually it gets put up on my archive. I also have an announce list that will provide a link for any new fic. It's where I posted my first ever fanfic way back in the mists of 90's <g> I'll miss posting there.
