Also keep in mind that in "The Fever" weren't we led
to believe that AIDS doesn't affect vampires in its
natural state?

Personally, as a student of the vampire mythos, my
understanding in general is that if the issue is
caused by something external to the body, or is a
"condition" vampirism can cure it. Like,
allergies/asthma/MS/CF/AIDS etc. I have certainly
followed this line of thought with my two FK Fics that
deal with illness (Unconventional Treatment Plan and
These Three.)

Keep in mind the example of the bone marrow recipient
who can develop allergies when previously there were
none.

Maybe he wears glasses *because* they make him look intellectual, or nerdy -
they may be non-prescription or blank lenses, and they're to help him create
the right image, or persona.

Up until about 50 years ago, society revered and respected the
highly-educated and the highly intelligent, and that goes way, way, way back
when. So it may have been a persona he cultivated early on as a form of
protection against those more physically or violently inclined, both mortal
and vampire alike - even LaCroix seems to hold him in respect! (And we can
say that of *very* few others.)

I'm watching my way through HL:Raven and, as it was filmed in Toronto (or so
I believe), I was wondering if there was any overlap with Forever Knight
locations? Actually, I could see fic crossovers between the two shows. Maybe
this will spark some.

Amanda Raven trying to steal the Da Vinci painting of Janette comes to
mind....Hmm female immortal vs vamp fight? Don King could really sell tickets
to that one. ;-)

Along these same lines, a coworker asked if I could find any cross-over
stories with HL, where an Immortal was bitten by a vampire. I think I
remember reading some a long time ago, but I can't remember exactly what
they were. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I would like Sami Swan Thompson to contact me off-list. I have been
trying to contact her but her addy keeps bouncing.

Check the main fiction list, fkfanfic, for Kevin
Matsumoto's work. There are about 5 or 6 of those,
well written.
