Subject: Ger as Dylan Thomas
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me...
Looking forward to teaching Dylan Thomas' poetry next year in my British Lit
class, I wondered if perhaps there was a video available of Ger's performance - I
think it was Do Not Go Gentle - I'm sure ya'll know what I'm talking about.
I know next to nothing about the play, except that Ger played Thomas. I
thought that a video of the performance might be a good supplement to teaching on
Thomas' poetry, if the language isn't too rough and IF there's a place to purchase
a video.

I'm not sure a video exists - at least not a legitimate copy, but maybe
a bootleg (which, of course we should not talk about here ;-),
but a small print-on-demand service in Stratford published a printed
script for Leon Pownall's play in 2004. The ISBN is 0-9682168-7-0, the
publisher is called Pendragon Publishing.
I bought the script at the theatre in Stratford directly so I don't know
if it's readily available elsewhere.

I never heard of a video either but you can get an
audio tape of Leon Pownall reading the play from
Amazon.com. It is a single tape done as a radio play.
